its almost here!!!!! woo hoo
I am so stressed out, and ready for the wedding planning to be over. Cannot wait to finally marry my Fiance and start our lives! but with all the drama in the past year, i am so ready for it to be over with!
but who else is stressed out?!
what last minute stuff do you still have to do?
@mrsrecon: Oh my gosh I know what you mean! I just want to be married!
List of things we still have to do!
-Make place cards
-Finalize ceremony (verses and hymns)
-Put favors in boxes (chocolates)
-Pick first dance song
– Give the final itinerary to the bridal party
When it’s all written out it doesn’t seem like too much I guess but I just keep putting it all off. If I focused I probably could have finished a decent amount of this today!
What do you have left?
@MrsBeck: alright glad to know i am not the only one who has a list left of stuff to do!
– put together ceremony
-get my ringbearers outfit (because my sister has yet to buy it for him!)
-put together day of timeline
-final payments on rentals
-drop off centerpiece stuff to florist
– plan our first look and pick the location
& a bunch of stuff that needs to be done the week of. also my bachelorette party and bridal shower are squeezed in the week of my wedding!!

Stressed?! Absolutely!!! I just said to my fiance that tomorrow is 40 days!! I feel like I have so much to do and I can’t remember any of it!!! lol

I’m feeling stress but also calm in a way. Not trying to worry about the little things and know in the end that we will get married no matter what!
Still waiting on my dress with the alterations. Hopefully will be done later this week. Also need to work on music for the reception/dancing. Other than that things are getting checked off my list!!

So close!!!! I still need to pack!!! Gahhhhh
Post # 9
I’m a little bit stressed, but I’m moving to CA on Saturday so that’s more pressing!
I still have: place cards, seating chart, finalizing ceremony, vows. Probably some other things but those are the most important right now.
@mrsrecon: not really stressed but i need my fiance to pack for his move. i really want to get him organized here before the wedding so that we don’t have to do it when we come back from our honeymoon.
lemme see… what do i need to do:
get music selections to DJ
finalize ceremony vows
make timeline for all involved
remind Fiance to pack!
reach out to a few guest list stragglers
decide wedding hair
next trial run with makeup artist
find bridesmaid gifts
finalize rehearsal dinner outfit
communicate rehearsal plans to all
communicate to banquet manager about plans for decorations and give her a detailed list with pictures of what goes where. share list with my day-of helpers.
figure out details of first look photos.
confirm cake design
check on my veil — it hasn’t shipped yet and i should have. gonna do that right now.
personalize treat bags for cookie bar
make sure i have all of the cookie mixes and check in with the few people that are going to help me bake cookies
trial run DIY bouts/ corsages.
menu plan for rehearsal dinner
double-check honeymoon reservations, etc. work on intinerary (just a few basics)
maybe unpack my Fiance and help him pack for honeymoon, assuming he’s brought his stuff here.
dress alterations should be ready.
get my son packed to go with relatives during my honeymoon
buy flowers from the farmers market for centerpieces and my bouquet
DIY all flowers
clean my house top to bottom for rehearsal dinner
grocery shop for rehearsal dinner.
pick up folding chairs from my church for Rehearsal Dinner
take all decorations to venue the day before the wedding
pack for honeymoon
ummmm.. DANG! i have a lot to do! didn’t even realize it. i’ve done so much already. well, i’m glad i responded to the post (i started not to thinking that i didn’t have much to do). i’ll refer back to this list often! LOL
overall, though, i’m really proud of all i’ve accomplished and how i’m feeling. my bridesmaids are all out of state so all planning, DIY’ing has been up to me. they threw me a fantastic shower and have given input on pictures of things that i’ve sent them but i’ve pretty much been in this on my own. *sigh* oh well. still feeling good!

I was feeling really on top of things until family drama happened over the weekend at my graduation. Long story short – Future Mother-In-Law felt insulted/offended that my parents were spending more time talking to FI’s father and stepmother rather than talking to her. Now I just can’t wait for the wedding to be over so I don’t have to think about who could potentially be upset about something!!!
Working on this week:
– Final meeting with reverend
– Ceremony music with organist
– Give DJ list of songs/do not play
– Finalize important songs with him
– Reception decor; create bathroom baskets
– Order guest book
– Schedule dance lessons (super psyched about this one)

@ED13: Just remember you can’t please everyone! Kinda immature to get upset about that, maybe they were in depth in a topic?
I think I’ve finally figured out what’s left on my list. Writing it out helps! lol
- Start making day of timeline
- Finish programs
- Seating chart
- Start figuring out what I am taking on the Honeymoon
- Labels for candy buffet
- candy for candy buffet
- jars for candy buffet
- tons of signs!!
- marriage license
- Get bags for Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts, put together once I get the robes back June 4th
- Order Groomsmen gifts-fiance is slacking on this!!
- Gifts for his parents and my dad and his fiance (already gave mom and stepdad theirs)
I feel like some things can’t be done til RSVPS are all in. 12 days til the deadline! Is anyone freaking about them all coming in? We have 80 something not sent in yet! Grr

Good luck to everyone 🙂 We have come a long way, and our to-do lists are getting shorter!
On my to-do list:
- Talk to the officiant again
- Talk to the venue coordinator again
- Talk to the florist again to add petals
- Write vows
- Order groomsmen gifts
- Come up with a signature drink
- Have a final meeting with the DJ and get insurance information
- Follow up on the last couple of RSVPs
- Seating chart
- Place cards
- Decorate the card box
- Welcome baskets

Like a million things.
Seating chart…not looking forward to that.
We have to find someone to set up the tables since the rental company apparently cannot…
List of songs for the DJ…
I have to finish spray painting vases for the centerpieces.
Probably we should do other things…
