@Puppy Love:  I’ve been engaged for over a year already so I just had a lot of time to space things out over. But don’t worry. that stuff will all go pretty fast once you get the ball rolling.

also I left out all the “confirmation” type appointments I will have the month of, but those are more just to affirm decisions we’ve already made so they shouldnt be too much work

I’ve been dreading putting together a list of what I have left to do, but I guess now is as good a time as any!

  • Get Marriage License
  • DIY Ribbon Wands for Recessional
  • DIY Place Cards
  • Order Cake Knife and Server
  • Find a hair piece
  • Order garter
  • Get wedding band sized (March)
  • DIY Table Numbers
  • Buy BM/GM gifts
  • Buy parents gifts
  • Plan Rehearsal Dinner
  • Make room reservations for wedding and honeymoon
  • Send invitations to printer
  • Dress Alterations (April)
  • Break in shoes
  • Order paper lanterns for Ceremony decor (or speak to florist about this)
  • Make up trial / Hair trial (March)
  • Get Groom’s attire (Found, but need to purchase)
  • Discuss ceremony script with officiant
  • Choose reading and vows
  • Order Sand Ceremony kit
  • Make song list and discuss with DJ (May)
  • Discuss menu with venue (May)
  • DIY Card Box

This list seems so long, but this is all “little” stuff. A lot of these things can’t be done until a month or two before the wedding. Fortunately I’ve gotten most of the big stuff out of the way other than the DIY projects, which I will probably be getting around to soon!

I am actually down to the little details like:

  • Sign the contract for the ceremony music
  • Buy candies to put in the wedding favors
  • Buy “undergarments” for my dress
  • Finish buying the bridal party gifts
  • Finailze my wedding programs, print and assemble
  • Bling out my cardbox
  • Order garter
  • Find a hair piece
  • Dress alterations – In April
  • Finalize rehearsal dinner
  • Hair and makeup trial
  • Finalize ideas for photographer
  • Get marriage license
  • Finish my “bubble tags”
  • Some day of wedding things

I am such an organizing fool and I had loads of time at the beginning of our engagement that I started planning super early and now I don’t have any major things left to do. Don’t worry you will have it all completed before you know it! πŸ™‚

My list is relatively short. I’m having a cake topper custom made so I’m going to put the money in the bank to pay for that tomorrow and I need to buy some shoes. That’s about it. Everything else is totally taken care of.

Oh, I need to buy some wedding party gifts too, but I already know what I want, I just need to get around to ordering them.

We have to order invitations, figure out the music, get tuxedo measurements and order those, and I beleive that is all that’s left besides paying off the rest of the wedding πŸ™‚
