This thread has inspired me to make the list of stuff we have left… once I see it all written down, I know I’m going to cringe. But here goes nothing:

Invitations – (Need to finish by March 8th)

  • Attach directions and accomodations insert to cardstock
  • Print “open house” insert and attach to cardstock
  • Finish making belly bands
  • Get remaining addresses (about half of our guest list…)
  • Print address labels
  • Put address labels on RSVP envelopes and envelope
  • Buy stamps
  • Mail invitations

Flowers –

  • Find pictures for Pinterest of bridesmaid and Maid/Matron of Honor bouquets
  • Decide on boutonnieres
  • Decide on corsages
  • Meet with florist and book (already scheduled appointment!)
  • Decide on centrepiece flowers

Make-up/Hair –

  • Schedule actual hair trial (already had a mini one)
  • Find out what time my Maid/Matron of Honor setup for our day of hair appointment
  • Go buy makeup to DIY
  • Practice DIY makeup a few times to get the hang of it

Dress & Accessories –

  • Choose some earrings and necklace (probably will use ones I own or borrow from mom)
  • Go for post-alteration fitting (beginning of April)
  • Pick up shoes that have been dyed (beginning of March)
  • Buy a clutch
  • Buy a fancy/bracelet looking watch

Photography –

  • Decide if we are bothering with engagement photos….

  • Make menu cards? (maybe…)
  • Make seating chart
  • Send seating chart to caterer

Favours –

  • Buy more ribbon and tie around top of jars

Venue –

  • Figure out number of tables
  • Figure out where things are being setup
  • Figure out how many chairs
  • Determine what we need to do, and what they will do for us

  • Inform groomsmen they need to wear black suits

Cake –

  • Go for tasting

  • Buy a cupcake stand that has room for a 9 inch cake on top of it
  • Buy take-out cupcakes boxes

Miscellaneous –

  • Buy gifts for bridesmaids
  • Buy gifts for groomsmen
  • Buy gifts for parents
  • Ask people if they want to make speeches in order to give them time to think about what they want to say
  • Write a short speech for me and Fiance to say to thank guests for coming
  • Register for wedding gifts
  • Clean house in advance of open house day after wedding
  • Book wedding night hotel room
  • Figure out if we want transportation and book
  • Attend bachelorette party (and bridal shower?)

Hmmm, things I can think of off the top of my head to do:

1)  Mail invitations March 27 or April 3

2)  Stain card box and make burlap bunting flag

3)  Cut lace fabric into table runners

4)  Start dress fittings in May when my dress comes in

5)  Make Mr/Mrs signs for back of chairs

6)  Order toasting flutes

7)  Find rustic frame to display seating assignments

8)  Seating assignments as RSVPs come in

9)  Make seating assignment cards

10) Get marriage license

11) Discuss ceremony with officiant

12) Consider additional guestbook (we have a photo booth guest book already)

13) Print mad-lib style cards for guest to fill out at reception

14) Finalize music selections

15) Finalize menu

16) S’mores table decorations

Those are the things I can think of… I’m sure there will be other stuff that comes up.
