We are having a destination wedding so we’re sending our invites out early. We’re mailing them by March 15th and asking for RSVP by the end of April.  We want to get a firm rsvp count as soon as possible.

My date is june 1st, I really wanted to send them out by march 8th, but my Maid/Matron of Honor wants to help address them, and i won’t see her until the 15th!

so i will be mailing them out march 18th, with an RSVP date of may 6th!

@mrsrecon:  That’s a good timeline, no worries!! Sometimes with too much time people put it off and end up losing the invites and not responding.

I just purchased Save-The-Date Cards 5 minutes ago for Jun 15th.  Now I feel a lil sick about spending the money since 1) seems no one pays attention and 2) it looks like everyone is sending invitations by the time my STD arrive at my house.  Uggghhhhh…..

They’re really cute tho… ๐Ÿ™‚

I just sent a tester invitation to my sister to see if it arrives in decent shape, and also to see if the RSVP envelope makes it back!  I think the address can be hard to see so I’m crossing my fingers.  If all goes well I think I’ll send out invitations in about a week or two since I can’t wait to have people see them ๐Ÿ™‚

@MrsH6713:

That’s so Similar to mine…except I did international invites first (sent them out beginning of feb)

And I am planning to send my local out On monday with RSVP April 10 (enough room for plan B guests) and we are moving to new place at the end of April!!! I wanna do as minimal as possible in May:)  (Highly unlikely)

But good suggestions from all

We just ordered ours and will be sending out sometime on or before April 1. RSVP deadline is May 25 because the caterer needs everything by June 8. We’ll be traveling across the country to DC via car so my parents will be in charge of collecting them. We have 2 weeks to track down lost souls. ๐Ÿ™‚

@rapunzelrenee:  my dates are the same! June 1st wedding, sending invitations out mid March with a RSVP of April 25th lol. I feel much better as my mom was worried I was sending them out too early!

Not to freak everyone out… but doesn’t March really make it THREE months, not four?!?  ๐Ÿ™‚  At any rate I am sending mine out the second week of March (wedding June 9), with RSVP date April 26th.  I know me… and when I get an rsvp deadline I usually put it in the mail around the deadline or a few days after.  So I figure to give it at least a week to get invites back after the due date- which will be one month prior to the wedding date.  Then I have plenty of time to tweak seating, number of tables (linens, florals etc…), and get final counts to everyone.
