@ Star35   I am having my wedding in October 2017 specifically because I wanted an outdoor wedding in comfortable weather. I have been to Missouri in June, and in my opinion it is HOT! But I love fall weather (I am in MN). If it were me I would do it in the fall, but that is just my preference.

@ Star35   I’ve never been to Missouri in June, but we’re having our wedding in June outside in Colorado which is totally hit or miss. It could be 95 degrees or it could be 50… ya never know. I’m planning to just keep my ceremony short, 30 minutes or less. I was also thinking, if it is going to be super hot that I would provide sunscreen and fans on a little table (you can make your wedding ceremony itinerary into fans too which I think is really cute). I also think for your state September would be great, however I made a very big deal about not having my wedding on the month of my birthday. Currently, our dating anniversary is the day after my birthday and we’ve never really celebrated. Its like having your birthday on christmas day, “here’s your anniversary/b-day gift” or “we’re going on a trip for your birthday/anniversary”.

Not sure where you are, but I’d check the weather from the past few junes around that date. Was it rainy? Was it scorching?

I was also debating between June and Sept, and I did this, and noticed that June is usually quite rainy. So while there is a chance it wouldn’t be raining, it more than likely would. I followed a few photographers in the area on instagram, and I think 1/4 weekends it was sunny for the ceremony, and then started raining. So I was pretty confident going with September. We are also doing outdoor ceremony and tented reception.

I’m getting married at a garden with a historic home also on the property in June! I am concerned about the weather (I’m in IN) because it could be 95 or 65, rain or no clouds and sunshine. But we chose our date specifically because it is exactly a year after he proposed.

I originally wanted a fall wedding, but his favorite season is summer.

My parents had an outdoor wedding June 1st and the weather happened to be pretty ok. My Brother-In-Law and SIL had an outdoor wedding in June as well (I forget the day…20-something I think…) and it was swelteringly hot…the ceremony was maybe 20 mins and a lot of us got horribly sunburned…and in all the photos of the ceremony everybody looks sweaty and are squinting.

So June is a crapshoot I guess?

I’m a little biased too because I was a September bride and the weather was PERFECT!

I voted June because the weather, no matter what month, can be unpredictable and not *perfect* what if June turns out fine, and it actually rains or something in September?

In my opinion, weather is everything when picking a date (I know some will disagree)! Our wedding is in Washington state where the weather is usually pretty miserable from about September – May. September and even June are sometimes a gamble. We chose July for our date since it tends to be safest weather wise and we wanted an outdoor wedding. Obviously the weather on the day of your wedding will be out of your control, but I would want to choose the day that gave me the best chance for good weather!

I’m going to go ahead and say go with September. I know I sweat a lot and I don’t want to be drenched as the bride with full makeup and a big dress. Then again, it might be hot in September. You can ask the venue what it’s like during those months there, if there’s a breeze, etc.
