I’m in Florida and I’m really hoping it doesn’t rain, but I know it’ll be hot. we have a backup if it rains.

My ceremony and reception are outdoors–in the San Bernadino Mountains (California, a couple hours outside of LA). The average TOTAL rainfall for the month of June in the town where we are marrying is .13 inches–yep a tenth of an inch. People still keep asking what we’ll do if it rains… what are they trying to do–jinx it? In fairness, lots of people are from other parts of the country where rain is less predictable and more common during the summer.

The temp is the more unpredicable thing. It will not be hot, but I hope that it won’t be too cold. We’ll rent heaters in that case, but I hope that we won’t have to do so.

June’s pretty nice here, but I went to a couple weddings in July and August and I was DYING.  Mostly the August one, though–someone actually passed out from the heat, it was awful–and they had a cocktail hour outside with no seats anywhere and no shade to escape the heat.

The July one–I just ended up sweating for a little bit, but it cooled down a lot at night, plus it was closer to the beach so the temperature was a lot better.

Hoping it doesn’t rain as everything is outside!! We rented a tent and the venue has a pavilion but it would be much easier if it was nice out! Fingers crossed!!

The end of June in MA here. All outdoors. We will have tents but no air conditioning option. The porta-potties maybe be air conditioned though!

It’s a casual wedding so there is an in-ground pool that folks are welcome to play in. I’m guessing it will be in the 80s. I’m praying it’s not oppressively hot.

The rain plan is simply putting up more tents. We are a hardy bunch though. The rain won’t scare us!! My main concern would be the DJ and the band and their equipment!

@Birdi:  i think they just say rain on your wedding day is good luck to make you feel better ahah

i am hoping for 80 degrees and sunny on the day of! our ceremony isnt until 6pm, so it will probably start cooling down

me and my Fiance have bad luck, it always rains on important days or when we do something special.. so fingers crossed it doesn’t

@peachacid:  I would be more concerned about rain instead of heat from the way it’s been so far this year. They say it’s good luck for it rain at your wedding. It rained briefly at ours. Regardless, I hope the weather turns out pleasant for you and your guests.

Thats one of the downsides to having an outdoor wedding. ๐Ÿ™

Plus I didnt want a summer wedding because I like Fall but also I heard how miserable it was for the wedding party at my husbands brothers summer wedding years ago. HOT. Either way, just go with the flow. Though I would prefer light rain to heat any day. ๐Ÿ™‚

I never really paid attention to what June weather was like historically… turns out it is our rainy season in Alberta. Shoot.

JUNE 2013: temperature 14.5°C (1°C below avg.); precipitation 35mm (40mm below avg.); Jun 1-5: Scattered showers, cool east; sunny, warm west; Jun 6-13: Isolated t-storms, cool; Jun 14-18: T-storms, then sunny, cool; Jun 19-25: Scattered t-storms, warm, then cool; Jun 26-30: Sunny, turning hot.

Now I’m just a tad freaked out. We are having our ceremony outside on a mountain top. I suppose I can handle a bit of rain but if it’s windy we will have to adjust our plans accordingly.

Can’t wait until 14 days out when I can start checking the forecast daily, although that might be even worse for my nerves. Deep breaths!

@Cantstartafire1:  We are trying to have a summer wedding, too, either in MS or Memphis. Not outside hopefully, because we are not as brave as you. ๐Ÿ˜‰

No rain for us! Lots and lots of sunshine for June 1, but it’s estimated to be 80 degrees (87 on May 30th, yikes!) I’d love it to be low 70s and partly sunny!
