whybee: I got a bfn at 8dpo at home AND at the Drs office (went in for pap and when I told him I was ttc he did a preg test). Then, 2 days later at 10dpo got my first bfp!!! I almost missed it though. It wasn’t really noticible until 11dpo (the one I posted on this thread). So there’s still tons and tons of hope! Don’t throw in the towel now!

I went in today to confirm and the nurse even said, “so why do you think you’re pregnant, you tested negative last week”. It wasn’t till I whopped out 6 FRERs with blaring positives that she chuckled and said “ok-let’s just go right to the blood test!” Ha

good luck!

got my positive OPK on 6/6. i have a 12 day LP, so I’m expecting AF on 6/20. but i’ll probably start spotting the 5 days before AF.

so if i even make it to POAS, it will be on 6/23.

my fingers are crossed but i’m not hopeful anymore. i am having a girls weekend away the weekend i expect AF and my friend knows all about our struggles. i got AF last time on our vacation so I know AF won’t ruin the girls weekend but at least i have something to take my mind off of things for a few days.

MrsDecember2012: thanks hun, that was a good pick-me-up πŸ™‚ you’re much kinder than I would have been to myself. I was thinking I deserved more of a “silly woman, what do you expect with an IC at 8dpo?! Just wait!” Lol x

whybee: haha well you’re not silly! Anytime you see a bfn it’s upsetting. 8/9dpo is seriously the worst! I just wanted to fall asleep and wake up on AFs due day. lol. You are right though, a little slap of reality is that 8dpo is typically too early! I was hoping my experience would prove it! I loved strutting in that office less than a week after they told me I wasn’t pregnant with 6 positives! πŸ™‚

Figured I’d check in since my POAS date was listed for yesterday. I did not POAS yesterday. It took some willpower but AF is due Wednesday and I’m trying to wait and see if she shows. Every TTC cycle I end up POASing around 9-10 DPO and then convince myself it just might be too early, and POAS again and again until AF shows. I’m currently 12dpo with no AF signs other than my BBs are really sore…I had a little bit of a temp dip this morning (but still above coverline) but that’s gotten me a little down today. I’m trying to tell myself it might not be accurate because I didn’t sleep well last night. Oh well…guess I’ll wait and see for Wednesday.

MrsDecember2012: Of course it’s too early πŸ™‚ But a quick Google search on my phone before getting out of bed was enough to steer me over to the dark side, thinking I could be one of *those* women, lol. Love the strutting image, btw!

MissCountryGirl727: Amazing restraint, lady! Sore boobs is surely a good sign, and if your temp drop’s not below coverline, don’t worry yet πŸ™‚ I have everything crossed for you… Not long to wait now!! I’m gonna try POAS again on Weds, I think. I’ll only be 10dpo but my internet cheapies are apparently 10miu, so…you never know, eh.

lealorali: Don’t I agree with you! I haaaaaaaate when people tell me or anyone things like that about any subject. I want to tell them: “It’s my mind. I got it under control”.

whybee: thanks! I keep saying I’m going to order some internet cheapies so i don’t feel too guilty for POAS like every day but then talk myself out of it for whatever reason. Lol My restraint isn’t that great though…it mostly had to do with the fact that if I do get a BFP this cycle I want to wait until Father’s Day to tell Darling Husband, and being with him all weekend I couldn’t exactly go buy an HPT and use it without him knowing the results. Lol

MissCountryGirl727: Hey, restraint is restraint! Fathers’ Day is a great reason to hold off, but even that’s not good enough to keep my impatience at bay. Fathers’ Day Schmathers’ Day, I need to know asap :p

Mrs.Sunflower: Second-ing candy11. You can test positive for an LH surge and then not actually ovulate. Maybe you caught both surges? That’s why OPKs alone can’t tell us if we’re ovulated – they test for the surge that happens beforehand and then a temp rise confirms that ovulation actually happened. Good luck and fingers crossed for you!

AFM, I’m out this month. I had a huge temp drop this morning and I’ve gotten a couple negative tests. I’m just waiting for AF to show.

We’ve decided not to move forward with the RE’s recs for this month (clomid, HSG, weekly monitoring, HCG trigger, post-coital test….). I was really hoping the fates would smile on us and I just wouldn’t have to make the decision but, with the temp drop this morning, doesn’t look like that happened. I’m traveling for work this month which would have made all the testing tough to schedule anyway but really, I’m just not ready to go there yet. It’s funny – I thought I would be jumping up and down to get this process rolling but now that it’s in front of me, I feel completely different. After completely breaking down over the weekend and sobbing about feeling like a guinea pig, my husband said he thinks we should wait a couple months. He also asked that I take a break from everything TTC aside from charting and taking my meds so that I can try to clear my head a little. I’m going to take this week to pull out TCOYF again and re-read some sections and then I’m going to try step away from googling/boards/etc for next cycle.

GearBride: I’m sorry, I know it’s tough. TTC really messes with your head. Sounds like your Darling Husband had some wise words though, and it’s good that you’re not pushing yourself into anything you don’t feel ready for. At least you can take this time to refresh, recharge, and feel stronger when you come back to. And in the meantime, anything could still happen… πŸ™‚

MrsDecember2012: whybee: Is 10 dpo too early, usually?

My POAS date is currently 5/23 (assuming I O in the next 2-3 days), but I was thinking about moving it up a day or two because I have an event on the 22nd that would usually involve having a few drinks…but if it’s too early, I’m not sure it’s worth the angst of wondering if it’s a false negative.

LadyBear: If you have an event that you’re worried about, I don’t think there’s any harm in POAS at 10dpo. Just know that if it’s neg, it could be too early so maybe start practicing those fake drinking skills just to play it safe?? Lol :). Good luck to you!
