So hey fellow symptom spotters. I’m an estimated 7DPO and quite nauseous this morning. Does anyone know if this is actually a possible sign or is it WAY too early and I am definitely just feeling the effects of weird food from over the weekend?

God I feel so stupid overanalyzing like this, but I also feel ill.

@iRun2004:  I was nauseaus after breakfast on 7, 8 and 9 DPO.  And I just got a BFP so I guess it is possible!  FX’d for you!!!

@travellingfool: congrats!! yay!!! I can’t see the pic for some reason but sounds like an awesome BFP.

My update: caved and tested this a.m. and got a stark white BFN. It’s still a bit early for me (9-10DPO) so not quite over yet.

@travellingfool:  OMG!!  How exciting!!! HOORAY!!

@nyckitten:  I tested the other day and have only seen BFN so far.

My temped dropped this morning by .4.  I am still pretty high compared to my coverline (I think that’s what it’s called!).  Still no AF though…

I wasn’t planning on testing until midweek but I had strong cramps yesterday and then this morning my temp was the highest it had been so I thought, well, maybe?  But I am pretty sure I felt implantation at 5 DPO(very sharp pinches) so I’ve already had 4 days to build up hormones then….

@iRun2004:  So hard to say! I remember reading somewhere that implantation can happen anywhere from 5-10DPO (is that even right or did I make that up!? LOL) so it could be early, it could be something?? Esp if travellingfool felt similar around the same time, it’s likely a good thing 🙂

I am also 7DPO but not feeling any different. May have missed the mark with this wonky cycle and maybe throwing the towel in a day too early! Always the way .. but, everything for a reason, right?

When do you plan on testing? I am wavering btwn testing Saturday before we head to the cottage for a long weekend (12DPO) or waiting until i’m officially late, which would be mid week next week.

@StaceyA:   I think you’re right about implantation (though TCOYF says 6-10 days I think).  My internet researching basically says that while conventional wisdom says you shouldn’t get symptoms until a few days after implantation at the earliest, that everyone is different (which is the theme to this entire process I suppose). And there seems to be a small portion of the population that has a very extreme and sudden reaction to the hormone shifts, and thus can get morning sickness as soon as a week after ovulation.

So when to test … Well, if my calculations are right then (based on my last few cycles) I’m late at 9DPO. So I suppose I could test Wednesday, but that’s probably too early to see anything. I’m going to try to wait until Thursday (which is also when DH is back from his latest business trip) but it’s going to be awfully hard if I feel ill again tomorrow morning.

Will it drive you nuts over the weekend? i’m sure it will be much better to wait. Are you in the drink-till-it’s-pink club? (so you can still have a glass of wine or two while you relax this weekend)

@travellingfool:  I can’t see your pic either but CONGRATS!  I’m still holding out but your BFP gives me hope!

@iRun2004:  Aren’t you 10 DPO too?  I wasn’t thinking of testing until later this week but I think I might cave and do it tomorrow morning….should I???

@iRun2004:  Yeah I’ve heard that the hormones can take a while to build up but some women just KNOW!  My hormones are pretty strong anyways so I can’t ever rely on those.

@iRun2004:  Wow, so you could be testing like, SOON!!! That is super exciting. How are your boobs?! Yes, I just asked how your boobs are LOL!  I hear many stories about the boob pain and subsequent BFP, although like you said, not for everyone!

I am in the drink till it’s pink mindset. I am not going crazy but I don’t mind having a drink here and there. Of course with the cottage, it would be hard not too! I think I might just wait until i’m officially late and test then if my temps stay up.. would hate to start off a fun weekend with a BFN. Maybe if there are any symptoms this week that could change my mind i’d test Sat AM before we leave… so far no luck with feeling any different though.

@texasbee:  Mostly I just can’t get over the nausea. (though it’s letting up a bit now that I’ve been in the office for a few hours)  And yesterday I started tearing up in the starting corral at the Women’s race I was running as the starting line speaker was naming all the women athletes who have benefited from Title IX.  I mean, it means a lot to me but really???

@StaceyA:  LOL. I just ran a half marathon yesterday so EVERYTHING is sore. So I can’t really tell.  Also, my boobs are quite big (ugh, hate ’em) and tend to get super-sore leading up to AF. So that doesn’t really work as an indicator for me.

I’m back and forth on the when-to-test thing. On the one hand, I get that you don’t want to ruin a fun weekend (and if you have the will power to wait, we all know that’s a better idea). That said, I almost prefer having something fun to do after getting a BFN – like a consolation prize I guess – rather than having to trudge into work. But again, if you can wait, that’s a way better idea!

@texasbee:  I know, totally weird. It hasn’t happened again, and that’s never happened to me before either — but it was the most bizarre thing.

@iRun2004:  I keep getting the same weird twinges still!!! If I weren’t so hopeful that they meant something then I’d be annoyed, but each time I get one I’m kind of happy, hahaha. I’ll do you one better — I’m crazy symptom spotting, and I’m anywhere between 4-9DPO, I really have no idea at this point.

@travellingfool:  YAYYYYYYYYY CONGRATULATIONS!!! (although I can’t see your picture either — fix it lady!) Tell us all the details of the test, pretty pretty please. Happy and healthy nine months Smile

@StaceyA:  I have no idea when I’m going to test, because I have no clue at this point when I O’d. But if I keep feeling the way I do, I don’t think I can hold out longer than the end of this week.

Still more of the same “symptoms” for me. Very tired, very noticeable twinges/pulls “down there,” nauseous if I get hungry — and I suddenly have a very strong sense of smell. This could definitely be a function of my “diet,” but I swear that I smelled my neighbors making toast last night. This morning the water in our shower smelled funny.

@StaceyA:  I’m in the drink til pink camp too!  It doesn’t help that DH just got the 40 new bottles of wine from our favorite vineyard…since we finished the last 40.  Good grief we drink a lot of wine….guess it’s the being in Germany thing!

@iRun2004:  I don’t have any nausea this month but I’ve had it before and I’ve never gotten a BFP so that’s good I guess.

@DiamondsandLace:  I always get tired as part of my PMS symptoms and occasionally I have a strong sense of smell.  The other day though, I swear I could smell the sewer lines in the house but I’m thinking it was b/c of all the rain we’ve had.  DH couldn’t smell it but I kept thinking maybe there was a backup somewhere…gross!
