How many of you have booked your vendors already?
Who have you booked?
I’m asking because – while we have a full year – I’d totally suggest booking them NOW!
one of my bridesmaids’ father is a DJ and I was hoping to use him as OUR DJ…well I finally got around to calling him (a year and month out…) and my bridesmaid’s brother has a friend getting married that day who already booked them!!!!! 🙁 this really sucks because I pretty much had everything going so easy so far…
Caterer: my fiance/husband is a manager for a catering business – so obviously using him. Plus his boss does really good cakes.
Ceremony/Venue: being that he is a caterer, he knew where he wanted to have it – a very popular spot downtown that we booked last october (and got a dang good deal since he knows the owner). Plus they give you a day of coordinator (you start working with 4 months in advance) and they do ALL the linens, table decor, etc…
Photographer: found the daughter of someone here at work who just started her own photography business…FABULOUS work – unlimited hours for $1500!
Wine: not that we’re "booking" wine – but we’ll be getting FABULOUS wine and champagne at a very cheap price due to the fact that the winery is FI’s catering company’s #1 customer (already talked to em)
Officiant: Our minister is a friend of the family and my godfather (we’re having two) is also a minister in our church, in a different state…
Videographer: A guy I work with owns a wedding videography service. Talked to him and he told me to book him in January (but he has my info now).
DJ: no idea!!!! ack! 🙁
Florist: I am DIY’ng my flowers as well as my STDates, Invites, centerpieces, programs, favors, etc…
Anyways – what about all of you? Being that it’s a year out do any of you have your vendors lined up?
