@cyndistar3:  I can’t believe they let you go home after just two days! At my hospital you have to stay for 4 or 5 days if you have a c-section. I get to go home tomorrow and I’m pretty excited to rejoin the real world. I think my incision hstir dissolvable stitches and steri-strips. I took my first shower today and that felt great. I’ve been off the heavier pain meds and on just ibuprofen for a counpleasant of days now. Fever is history so I’m feeling pretty good? Looking forward to being back in my own environment.

@plantains:   Awww!!!  What a cutie!  Glad to see the ultrasound photos didn’t lie as she does have the cutest, most pinchable cheeks ever!  Glad your recovery is going well and you get to go home tomorrow!

@CheesetomyWhine:   Congratulations!  It’s crazy to see how many summer solstice (or winter solstice in my case) babies were born on that day!

@cacamillis:   Waiting on pins and needles to hear an update from you!  Your last post sounded very, VERY positive and hopefully it means your little guy is here now or well on his way!

Thanks for all the congrats/well wishes.  I am so in love with my little Emily it’s ridiculous!  As she’s sleeping now, I think I may try to write up the birth story and post a few pics….we’ll see how far we get!

I’ve been absent for so long but I’m going crazy so I need to get back on here.

First off, congrats to everyone for the Junebug babies! Sooooo exciting that so many adorable little ones have joined us this month!

I’m still waiting for my little Junebug. As of today I am 41 weeks 4 days and hating it! I’ve been planning on a natural birth at a birth center but I can only go to the birth center through Wednesday night due to their rules. If baby hasn’t arrived by then I’ll most likely be induced Thursday or Friday.

I’ve been having contractions every night for a couple of hours for 2 weeks now but am having trouble making progress. So frustrating! I have another midwife appointment this afternoon & am hoping that all of the contractions over the weekend have pushed me over the edge and baby will arrive tonight (haha, not holding my breath)

We’ve tried walking, sex, pineapple, bouncing on a birth ball, primrose oil & pulstilla but I think our baby is just being stubborn. If anyone has any suggestions I’d love to hear them!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! You’ve been so supportive throughout this entire time, and I’m really grateful to have such a wonderful team of women in my life. I still plan to post my birth story and a photo soon — will probably do that in a separate thread. It’s been a crazy ride so far. My little man is pretty much the best thing ever, and I already have some nicknames for him: Pteradactyl, Tricycle, Little Man, Little Bird. He makes the best noises when he’s upset or eating. One unexpected blip is that they thought he was breathing too fast on his birthday, so they checked him into the NICU to run a bunch of tests. The great news is that he’s finally much better (only a minor problem), so we’ll get to take him home soon. As you can imagine, it’s been pretty stressful dealing with that in addition to a newborn and the joys of breastfeeding and recovering from childbirth. Hence my brief absence here.

Now down to business – so many Junebugs in so little time! I’m thrilled for all of you ladies:

@KatyElle: Congratulations on your little girl Gwen. That’s an amazing name choice — my name is very similar and sometimes people have decided to change it to Gwendolyn ๐Ÿ™‚ Can’t wait to “meet” her and hear your whole story.

@mrsjets: Thank you for the name compliments. Since we didn’t know the sex, we had to come up with 2 sets. We’ve been stressing over boy names the entire time! We’re really happy with our final decision, though, and we honored two very important family members in the process.

@plantains: Baby Lara really does have the most pinchable cheeks ever! Congratulations on her. And a big ol’ June 21st high FIVE to you! We had our babies almost exactly 12 hrs apart. Colin was born at 8:08 a.m. Hope you’re recovering nicely and are getting tons of rest — or as much rest as the hospital staff is allowing. People came into our room every 30-40 min. during my stay until I asked the nurses for a “Do Not Disturb” sign!

@Ree723: And Ree, what a way to sneak that announcement in there. A GIRL! Was it as much fun for you as it was for me to finally learn the sex after speculating all of these months? Emilly Vivian is such a lovely name. Another June 21st high FIVE! I’m not sure how the time difference works between where you are and California, but our kids are so ridiculously close in age, too.

@simpleandchic: You’ve GOT to be close now. Sending good wishes your way that your time is as soon as possible!

@CheesetomyWhine: Hi! And congrats on your June 21st baby girl. Yet another high FIVE! And I’ll ask the same question I asked Ree: how was it finally getting to know the sex after all this time? It looks like 3 of us were Team Green, and 2 had girls ๐Ÿ™‚ Love Rosalyn’s name, too.

@cacamillis: Woo hoo!! Congratulations, mama! Alastar’s name is just perfect. I’m so glad it finally happened for you, and I hope you and baby are recovering nicely.

@Cole B: Rooting for you, my dear. I wish I had more suggestions for you. Maybe the baby will surprise you? Having contractions regularly like that has to be some sort of good sign. I hope you make it in by Wed. so you get the birth you’ve been hoping for.

@simpleandchic: Thank you! Really appreciate it. Yeah, it’s no fun to deal with so soon after meeting him, but luckily he’s doing great. I believe we all get to go home tomorrow.

@simpleandchic:  Thank you so much!

@pregnantbee:  Thank you! It was amazing. My Darling Husband and I were pretty much convinced she was a boy so we were VERY surprised! I think not finding out was the best surprise ever ๐Ÿ™‚
