Thanks for all the congrats/well wishes. I am so in love with my little Emily it’s ridiculous! As she’s sleeping now, I think I may try to write up the birth story and post a few pics….we’ll see how far we get!
Hi you lovely ladies! Baby Alastar Joseph MacLean born 24/June at 11.52 pm! Ow ow ow! Baby doing brilliantly and we are over the moon! Has been a wonderful journey with you guys- the support on this thread has been phenomenal xxx
I’ve been absent for so long but I’m going crazy so I need to get back on here.
First off, congrats to everyone for the Junebug babies! Sooooo exciting that so many adorable little ones have joined us this month!
I’m still waiting for my little Junebug. As of today I am 41 weeks 4 days and hating it! I’ve been planning on a natural birth at a birth center but I can only go to the birth center through Wednesday night due to their rules. If baby hasn’t arrived by then I’ll most likely be induced Thursday or Friday.
I’ve been having contractions every night for a couple of hours for 2 weeks now but am having trouble making progress. So frustrating! I have another midwife appointment this afternoon & am hoping that all of the contractions over the weekend have pushed me over the edge and baby will arrive tonight (haha, not holding my breath)
We’ve tried walking, sex, pineapple, bouncing on a birth ball, primrose oil & pulstilla but I think our baby is just being stubborn. If anyone has any suggestions I’d love to hear them!
Thanks everyone for the well wishes! You’ve been so supportive throughout this entire time, and I’m really grateful to have such a wonderful team of women in my life. I still plan to post my birth story and a photo soon — will probably do that in a separate thread. It’s been a crazy ride so far. My little man is pretty much the best thing ever, and I already have some nicknames for him: Pteradactyl, Tricycle, Little Man, Little Bird. He makes the best noises when he’s upset or eating. One unexpected blip is that they thought he was breathing too fast on his birthday, so they checked him into the NICU to run a bunch of tests. The great news is that he’s finally much better (only a minor problem), so we’ll get to take him home soon. As you can imagine, it’s been pretty stressful dealing with that in addition to a newborn and the joys of breastfeeding and recovering from childbirth. Hence my brief absence here.
Now down to business – so many Junebugs in so little time! I’m thrilled for all of you ladies:
@KatyElle: Congratulations on your little girl Gwen. That’s an amazing name choice — my name is very similar and sometimes people have decided to change it to Gwendolyn 🙂 Can’t wait to “meet” her and hear your whole story.
I can’t believe how fast time is moving!
