@Babeeb mom: I’ll be a workout boddy!

I’m 26 yrs old   5’0″

I was 125 lbs in December of this year. I’ve been working out and dieting on and off since then and I’ve got down to 111 lbs. I’d like to be around 106 lbs by the end of April, then I want to maintain it until July (or if I’m REALLY doing well, after the wedding too).
I’ve been going to the gym and doing an hour on the elliptical 4-5 days a week, and on the other 2-3 I’ve been doing wii fit – Just Dance II, Zumba Party, or Yoga/Strength. So far so good. I’ve just got to keep away from the snacks! I have an awful sweet tooth!

I am 5’9″ and currently weigh 166 lbs.  I would like to be at minimum 159 by early June for my wedding.

I think if i went as low as 140 i would look skeletal!

I got to the gym about 4 times a week – 2 times for strength/weight training and twice for cardio. I also do a circuit class once a week and usually a run on the weekend with my Fiance.  I know I have the fitness part down, I really need to work on my eating – I may have the worlds biggest sweet tooth!!!

@Babeeb mom: Zumba party is fun, but it’s about 20x harder to follow than Just Dance. I’d recommend mastering all the just dance songs before trying Zumba. It wasn’t effective the first couple of days I was using it because I spend so much time trying to figure out what the trainers feet were doing.

Hi Date Twin!  =)  I’m right there with you!  I know for a fact my dress won’t fit at the moment!  (I try it on for the 1st time Mar 28).  AND I just got my shipment of VS swimsuits last night, so I definitely hauled a$$ to the gym this morning!

@MrsMcGyro: I do the Just Dance and Zumba party as well. BUt I’m SOOOOOOOO not consistent. I have to lose at least 10 lbs by August though! *sigh*

Maybe I can get inspiration from you guys!

I’m 30 , 5’5″, 147 lbs.

@DCSquared: Do you weigh in using the wii fit system? The wii board in the game kept calling me out when I missed a day or two and eventually it guilted me into doing it every day.

I’m definitely hoping to lose some weight before the wedding. I’m at 201 lbs. right now, and I’m hoping to be 180 by July. That’s 5 pounds a month, or 1 pound a week. Here’s hoping!

Im in and starting today! I’m at about 165 right now & want to be 135 by July 30th! I’m giving up anything but diet drinks for Lent & I am starting bike riding & doing both Just Dance’s at least 4-5 times a week! Im hoping to buy the Zumba also! Right now I’m worried about tighter belly (ugh) & getting rid of these dang stretch marks my daughter gave me! LoL (try Mederma, cost $40 but seems to be working!)

i’m not a summer bride (got married last sept) but am happy to join in the convo if you’ll have me!  i’ve made extreme changes to my diet/exercise in 2011 and for the first time in my life, it’s working the way it’s supposed to.

i have lost 17.5 pounds in the last 2 months and want to keep it up.  need tips for how to keep hour-long cardio workouts from getting too, well, boring.  i do them, i just get board with the routine.  anyone have any tips?

I have been doing good – going to the gym and trying to minimize chocolate the desserts (but hey, you gotta live and can’t ignore it all 🙂

 

For cardio work outs i would say switch it up, do 20 min of sprints on the treadmill (will get more out of it then 30 min on a slow run), up the treadmill to anything past 7 and run for 20 sec on, 20 sec off.  That’s what they do on the biggest loser and i feel if those guys can run at a 12 on the treadmill, then i can do it too (but holy cow is that hard!)  then do 20 min of cycling and maybe 20 min of rowing or elipitlcal.
