Not weird at all. Many brides have just one attendent.

Sometimes, I really wish that I had only asked my sister to be Maid of Honor (instead of having 6 bridesmaids). I would have just asked my girlfriends to come over the day of the wedding to get ready all together. I think this would have probably made everyone’s lives easier! Less bouquets to buy, less worrying about matching, less guilt about picking bridesmaid dresses, less thank you presents to buy…

If you’re worried about it just include them in a different way…such as getting ready all together, or getting mani/pedi’s the day before.

I am only having one. I don’t have a sister and am not close to my cousins, so I will be asking my friend from childhood. I dont’ think it is strange at all…in fact, I like that it is so much simpler than having 5 or 8 girls to worry about, you know?

My sister is weird and I was her only bridesmaid up until the week before the wedding when she added another bridesmaid…. so yeah it’s not weird unless you start adding them last minute πŸ˜›

Nope, not weird! I think its better to have one bridesmaid that you are really close with then asking others who your not that close with just so you can have more!

I’m only having my best friend as my Maid/Matron of Honor. Don’t have many girlfriends or any sisters, so it was an easy choice. Fiance only wanted his sister standing up with him so that made it even easier not to have to find ladies to stand up with me…

Fiance was in a wedding party last year where there was only one person on each side, and the pictures, in my opinion, turned out better then ones that have a big wedding party. They were able to do some really cool shots without having to line up everyone in a single line, or having the shot zoomed out so much you can barely see their faces.

I’m having two bridesmaids but originally planned to just have one. It will save you a LOT of politics if you just have one trusted CBM rather than a huge stream of BMs.

I’ll just be having one attendant.  I don’t have any sisters, so my bridesmaid will be my best friend from college.   You’re not alone!

I’m only having one, my sister. I thought about asking FH’s 2 sisters, but the cost kind of put me off! We are having a small wedding too, so it would be weird to have lots of people in the bridal party – like a fifth of the guests!!
