I was really hoping to be in a blissful stage this week. You know, considering I just got married and all.
But I am so super sick. Why have you forsaken me, summer? WHY?!?! Summer colds are the worst!!!!
Not only that, but I took the Friday and Monday off for the wedding. And when I came back, I had to input all these clients (over 20). That’s fine, but whenever the other guy in the office is away (which is often) I always put in the clients so he doesnt have to!
And yesterday I was so sick, I had a fever, coughing, sneezing, sweating… the works. So I couldnt come in. Again he leaves all these files for me.
He calls in sick at least 2 to 3 times a month. Every time, I cover for him and do his work. But now, no way! Now I am going to leave a huge pile of work on his desk so when he comes back he can do it himself!!! He is gone again today (because it is ramadan, he has called in sick over FIVE times this month).
Oh and it’s my birthday this weekend… sick birthday! May the vitamin C gods heal this illness!!!!!

Oh that sucks!!! Yeah summer colds are the worst ones to have, I hate them. Yes do take lots of Vitamin C, rest. Get your new hubby to take care of you and if stay home to rest. I hope you have a good birthday, it’s also my FI’s birthday tomorrow, can’t wait, taking him to see Cirque du Soleil 🙂 Hope you feel better fast so you can at least enjoy the rest of the summer.

Oh no! That’s no fun 🙁 Darling Husband and I both got sick the week after we got back from the Honeymoon too! It sucks to be sick in the summer 🙁 And what a stinkhead co-worker to not think to try and help you out a bit – especially if you’re always doing the same for him.
I’d make sure that I leave a nice pile of work for him too the next time he’s sick! At least it’s Friday so you can hopefully get some rest over the weekend.

Awww, hugs!! I’m sorry! I hope you feel better ASAP, and that inconsiderate coworker figures out how much you’ve been doing for him.

I’m sorry, that blows! Feel better soon and rest up 🙂
Make up a tonic of distilled water and lemon. Sip 3 or 4 ounces every hour, for 10 hours of your day 😉 [ 20 oz water/3 oz lemon]
if you have a tendency towards hypoglycemia/low sugar, add a spoonful of maple syrup, honey, karo, etc

@tranquility: *ugh* I feel ya on the sickness part. That bug has been going around here and I am just getting over it. I must admit that you seem to have a lot more crap to deal with than a new blushing bride should!
