- Wedding: April 2012
Let me preface this with: I love my mom with all my heart – we talk every day and she’s an awesome mom!
Mom has been a stay at home mom since I was in 4th grade. My dad makes a great living and they’re well off so she doesn’t have to work. Following in my dad’s footsteps, I got my PhD and work my butt off. I currently work full time doing research for the Air Force, teach 2 night classes at different universities in addition to cooking every night, taking care of the household, our puppies, house hunting, etc. I have a very happy life, I really do and I am not complaining about that. However, with wedding planning every time I talk to my mom she’s talking about a new DIY thing that she’s doing for the wedding. I’m so appreciative of everything she is doing and her and my dad are paying for everything (we’re eloping, but mom insisted on us having an AHR at their house 1000 miles away from me).
Here’s the vent – I’m just so so so jealous of all the time she has to spend on my wedding. I wish so bad that I could be making a cupcake display and go dessert tasting and all the things that she’s doing. Again, I’m so grateful for what she’s doing, I just wish I had time to do it. It’s sad when I’m actually semi looking forward to Fiance having surgery on Monday because I’m taking 2 vacation days to take care of him
Ok, end of vent. thanks for listening!
