haha I personally won’t be doing a full on make out session but more than just a peck i think. We’ll have to practice lol reminds me of the wedding singer when drew barrymore and adam sandler practice!

@yogaqueen:  I mean…we definitely didn’t “peck,” we went for it, but there were no tongues or anything, lol. We wanted to kiss each other since the second I made it to the end of the aisle but had to wait the 10-15 min ceremony…so the second they said we could, we went for it…and went back for 3 more kisses after the big one before we walked back down the aisle, haha

@yogaqueen:  Maybe it is just me, but I don’t think a full on make-out session is neccesarily appropriate at the alter. But I don’t find anything wrong with a prolonged kiss (a few seconds). 🙂 I already told my Fiance, there will be no making out at the alter and no tongue! We are going to keep it classy! 🙂

@yogaqueen:  I’d do somewhere between a peck and making out. I wouldn’t go over like 5-10 seconds with people watching haha. Awkward!!

I have to agree that I don’t think a full-on makeout session at the altar is appropriate (think…Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1), but definitely a kiss with some length would be ideal. Something that shows passion without being like “let’s go for it, right here”.

I think a nice, 2-4 second kiss is all I’ll want to do. I find it uncomfortable at a wedding when the couple get into some tonsil hockey :

We had two, nice pecks.  My husband joked that he’d make out with me lol.. I knew he wouldn’t… I think it is inappropriate to make out like that in front of your guests.

for us, i think we will go for a long peck if that makes sense

definitely no tongues!!

bit of a threadjack, but im thinking of asking fi to practice in front of a mirror, to work out how hands and body positions will look nicest for photos and length so it doesnt look hurried or OTT. completely nuts bridezilla type behaviour?!

its just we had a photo in the famous kissing alley in mexico and it looked a bit odd in photos hahaha

@mrsalexander: thats exactly what i mean!!

We’ll probably lean towards more of a peck than a make out session. We’ll be in front of our families after all! 🙂

It makes me want to gag when I see couples make out in public, weddings included. I’d NEVER do that at my wedding.

I *do* want sort of a lingering kiss. Maybe 2-4 seconds, just so we get a nice picture of it!

Ours was a slightly longer peck and definitely NOT a makeout session. I’m not into very demonstrative PDAs and the idea of making out like a teenager in front of my 80+ year old grandma makes me more than a little uncomfortable!

We had two pecks because Darling Husband hates lipstick and I was wearing it that day.  He gave me a huge unexpected hug and spun me around and that’s when we got the applause.

I hate when the couple makes out.  Ew…
