Book your accommodation through airbnb and stay in an apartment!  This is the one we stayed at: https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/273992 It was near the Pantheon, and it was so wonderful to stay like the locals 🙂

As you’ve said, you’ve been before so you know all the touristy stuff! We were only there a few days so we only got to do the real touristy stuff so no extra tips there!

The catacomb/sewer tour is supposed to be pretty cool, try going to the markets… if youre into museums there are tons of smaller, privately owned ones you can go to.  I always try to find places I read about in novels or see in movies.  What’s your style of travel?

@CupcakeLove:  This looks so amazing!!!

One question, looking around google maps it looked a little far from all the “tourist” activities, did you guys spent a whole lot of time getting around those places?? That would be my only concern.

I would recommend checking out the website Paris Perfect for an apartment. http://www.parisperfect.com/

My friends and I used that company and they were SO great!

I know you’re going in May so it might be warm, but if you like hot chocolate you HAVE to go to Angelina’s at 226 Rue De Rivoli. It was seriously the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had.

I will have to look back through photos to find the names of restaurants we ate at because some were very yummy!

I did the Sandemans free walking tour. They work for tips only, and their tours are excellent. I did them in a few cities in Europe, and especially loved the Paris one.

We went to Paris for our honeymoon!!

I recommend going up to Montmartre. You can take the Metro to the Abesses station, then walk a short distance to the Montmartre Funicular which will take you to the top of the hill. There’s a fantastic view from there, you can tour inside Sacre-Coeur, and then walk through the cobblestones streets. Nearby is Place du Tertre, where many street artists gather. It was our favourite area of Paris and I recommend it to everyone!
