I am sure it will be perfect! Make sure you request more detailed confirmation pics just in case there is something you can’t see. I asked for a closer view and they took one. I didn’t see the sequin and I had requested for it to not be on the dress. They very kindly removed it and sent me the new pics. It was a dream! No problems or flaws what so ever!

My Dressilyme CHINA dress is ready!!!! Part 2

My second dress was simple and perfect just the way they made it. Much better in person than the pics. At first I had many questions about the beading but once it was in hand I could see that the craftsmanship was flawless. I was in love!

AHH! I’m thinking of getting a ceremony and reception dress off of Dressilyme! From all you girls they seem to be reasonable with requests, open communication, good customer service. It’s kind of nerve racking to buy something you’ve never seen in person…lol. Post pics as soon as you get your gown 🙂

@MissTX:

I have pics from my wedding. I think whats most important is to make sure you love the confirmation pics. If you have any questions about any type of detail kindly ask for a different view. They were good to me about getting a closer detail and wouldn’t send my dress until I confirmed it.

Once it arrived everything was even better than the picture.

I also did a lot of contact via the telephone for their timezone and they were kind to answer my questions and had excellent English!

They told me no too in presale but then once I ordered I asked and was told no problem so, I don’t think they would leave you hanging that way.

Maybe if you have more time you can try again in a week or so. Its such a busy holiday there! Its their one true holiday. I ordered this time last year so I experienced it first hand. I had to put my goals on the back burner for a few weeks. All companies will be like this right about now but soon they will be back to their usual pace.

Also I tell everyone that a call can go a long way. Call them on their timezone and ask a few questions. It will get their attention and your order can go a bit quicker. They are really nice an profressional for each time I had to call.

@adw2c:  How long do you think it usually takes for them to get caught up from the new year? I’m planning to order in the next couple of weeks but I have the time to give them a little longer if it would be better.

Humm I was in the same boat as you last year actually needing the dress by the end of March. They did make my deadline but at the time pictures were’t a problem.

I know what you mean about still being friendly with them. That was one thing I wanted to insure and also to still receive it in the appropriate time.

Can I see a picture of the dress you ordered? If they say they made it many times could you ask if they have a sample stock photo on hand so that you can get an idea of what your actual dress will look like. I would probably ask that quesiton over the phone and explain nicely that you would trust their work but would like an idea of what to expect since shipping it back would be expensive.

Or explain once more over the phone nicely that you thank them for their work and trust their skills but would really appreciate a quick picture before its sent because shipping back to China for changes would be very expensive. Ask is there any way to work it in. Also, kindly explain that you realize they are busy this season so thanks.

I usually spoke to them in this way and I don’t think I sounded pushy. I asked for many pics  due to needing a change to be made. Sometimes its just a bit more personal on the phone.

I am sorry they are in an overload mode right now. I hope they can work this out with you. I realize thats one thing you need to feel comfortable.

Usually I also called and ask for someone by name. Like Karen if you have been working with her. Actually she did my order and she was very very kind and seemed like superwoman to me over there compared to the other representatives. Karen seemed to get the job done.

Again I hope this turns out positively for you. Keep us posted.

@Dandelion D:

I would say mid Feb. almost late Feb. they are caught up. The thing is there are orders taken in January that aren’t touched until the return and then new orders accepted after the return and of course some of those orders are rush and some of them are extended.

I know my first dress order was taken in January because of another makers failure. I was in tears when I ordered. I saw the sample pic and then I trusted what they were going to come up with. I did get my picture which was maybe a slight difference in last years work load and this years work load, so I would suggest when placing your order and during emails with your representative to please request a confirmation picture. That way they will try to honor it before its sent. Usually!

My order arrived in late Feb and then I placed another order for a dress that needed to arrive by the end of March. So my Feb to March order seemed to have more time available for changes and approval.

I am wondering if your order is maybe on the rush level such as if you don’t approve it right away they won’t be able to make your deadline for delivery.

If there is any adjustment that can be made to your acceptance even by a week then maybe they will be able to provide a picture.

I would just hate to see you receive it late so keep that in mind. I believe with the shipping options they must consider that. My delivery was the fastest for $50 if yours is pretty slow then they have to factor that in as far as finishing for late March.

Just wondering if you should extend it a little as a last resort. But I know what you mean! My I reveived mine a week before my scheduled wedding. I had a dress that was trashed by another seller so I had to order that same day and hope they could make my deadline. Wow did they!

So don’t give up hope. Just think of all the options that can make it happen for you. They do great work so I think you will get a gorgeous dress!
