Today I successfully defended my doctoral dissertation, so I am officially FMM, PhD.
I really can’t believe it and the reality hasn’t set in yet!
Now, I just have to pack up and move to Georgia for a faculty position :-S

@brandybelle: I did my PhD in 4.15 years but it was a MSc only acceptance, so I did my BSc and MSc before getting into the program. (I know some programs are longer becasure they are direct entry PhD from undergrad) My PhD was in the biological sciences (clinical anatomy) so that can make a difference on the length of the program. Let me know if you have any more questions.
@MrsConnick: I will be working at GHSU in Augusta, where does your Darling Husband work?

YAY! I defended in July. It’s such an amazing feeling. Congrats on the degree and the job! I’m adjuncting right now and I am about to die with the amount of work I have to do for this crappy pay. I hope I secure a real job for 2013-2014. Good luck with the rest of your career!
