Initially i thought I wanted a fit and flare, in the end I bought a dropped waist ball gown because it had the fit and flare curve appeal with more of the ball gown poof.

When I first started looking through magazines, I could literally only find one dress out of hundreds that I thought was sorta pretty. Before this, id pretty much hated all wedding dresses. I hated mermaids, but kinda could tolerate very simple designs in lace. Hated ball gowns. Hated satin, but the A-line kinda started to grow on me. I talked with Fiance to get another opinion (big mistake). I just realized I wanted to try on ALL styles to see what looked good on ME, not a model. First one I tried, lace A-line, ugh looked AWFUL! hated it! Tried on everything under the sun over the next four months. Taffeta, satin, lace, silk. Ruching, beading, tulle, organza, ribbons, bows, pickup, ruffles, more lace. A-line, ball gown, trumpet, fit n flare, mermaid, sheath, sleeves, no sleeves, sweetheart, no sweetheart, u name it. Pretty much realized that, yes, I hate all wedding gowns lol. But after obsessing over pictures of myself, I found that one in particular kept haunting me. I eventually started trying to pick apart the look and details of that dress, to figure out y it was haunting me and if I even liked it. With no avail, and I started really obsessing over it. When I realized I couldn’t get it out of my head, I realized it wasn’t hate at all, it was love! Its a very fitted lace mermaid with simple soft chiffon ruching mixed into the bodice, which suits my frame and personality perfectly. Now I adore lace mermaids, especially mine!
