I have heard that many ladies get a bladder infection within the first few weeks of having sex. I am just curious to know if this is actually true.

Um, first few weeks of ever having it?
No- it is certain partners that give certain people infections, in my experience at least. For me, I don’t have that problem across the board- but with this one serious boyfriend… nonstop!
My friend told me about it that it happens quite often, I forgot about it till I got one myself and then remembered what she had said.
ive had a UTI once (wouldnt ever wish a UTI on my worse enemy!) and it was because we had been seperated for a little while and went a bit crazy and may have overdone it
my advice is after sex pee, pee often and ive been told cranberry juice is a good thing to drink
I’ve never had one, but I always pee right after sex. More likely, if I’m on vacation and we’re having sex all the time, I get sore in general, but lube and foreplay help that. I have a friend that got UTIs all the time, and she never peed after sex and would go again after laying there for a little bit.
So while it’s not exactly scientific, get up and pee after sex. It’ll flush out the stuff that gets shoved in there, and will hopefully keep you infection-free. Staying well hydrated is important too.
I got a UTI after having sex with Fiance for the first time. It sucked hardcore, but I blame it on my nervousness to get up and use the bathroom afterwards. Hahaha. I’m such a lameass.
I always pee after sex and make sure I clean myself with a our wet wipes we have for the bathroom. Even after doing all of that, I still get UTIs, but they run in my family apparently. 🙁
I’ve gotten two when we weren’t having intercourse yet, but were “playing around down there” (hello, third base!). But none since we started having sex.
I had one like years and years ago and this is the first one since then. It is on its way out but nonetheless it is uncomfortable.
No, I’ve never had a UTI/bladder or yeast infection and I always pee after sex.
It’s funny because like I said, I always go pee afterwards. I clean myself. All I ever drink is water as well.
I am just curious as to why I got it since we have been using condoms every single time but I guess condoms have bacteria on them as well…
If I have a break from sex of a few weeks or longer I am certain to get it. Sometimes I continue to get it. I have a litre bottle of cranberry juice glued to my hand whenever I am with him, and everyone clearly knows whats been going on… oh well its life!
Yea, I had numerous UTI’s from having sex with my DH. My doctor put me on preventitve medicine for every time we have sex, that way it won’t become full blown. I haven’t used it in a few weeks and it seems like things are good now. And yes, I pee after sex as well. It’s probably just my body and the lack of sex beforehand.
