True that or he is not as diligent with washing his hands …..
I’ve never had a bladder infection or UTI and my only yeast infections have been because I was on an antibiotic.
I always pee after sex.
The first time I had ever had sex, like years ago. I got a bladder infection after that. I had never had one before or once since. I dont know if the sex is what did it though. I have never heard of that.
I always pee after anything goes on down there…regular, oral, or “hands.” Make it a rule.
It has nothing to do with condoms or anything like that.
It is usually caused by the healthy bacteria from your vagina being transferred to your urethra (the tube you pee from). This bacteria is not so healthy in your urinary tract and causes infections. This occurs because there is a lot of liquid all over down there during sex causing the transfer of bacteria.
The only way to help prevent them is to pee right after sex (this will clear most of the bacteria out from within the urethra) and to wipe well (from front to back) after sex.
Hope This Helps
I know this is off the subject…but I thought of this while reading through the thread…what if you’re trying to get pregnant>? Should you still pee after sex? I thought if you’re trying to get pregnant you can’t pee right away? Just thought I would ask….
No, I and get a lot of UTIs because of problems with my kidneys.
When you try to get pregnant, you should not pee right after sex. The advice is to lie on your back for at least 15 minutes.
Apart from that, not everybody is prone to bladder infections. I only ever had one once in my entire life. And that was at a time when I had no sex what so ever.
Getting a bladder infection after sex is a possibilty, it’s not a law of nature.
I used to get tons of UTI’s, it was horrible. Now I pee right after having sex (I know, soo romantic) and I haven’t got one in ages. The one time I fell asleep before I peed, 2 days later I had a UTI. It makes a huge difference for me.
UTI’s are the absolute worst! i used to get them all the time with an ex boyfriend, literally anytime we did anything! and pretty often with my now fiance (like at least once a month for about an 8 month streak) then i wouldnt get them for about a year and then again every few months. luckily i havent gotten one in about a year so hopefully my body is over it! i had those red azo tablets in every single bag, purse, coat pocket ect, that way when they come on i can immediately take them. i also take a crapload of cranberry pills when i get them, about twice the daily dosage. its the worst!
Like many Bees have mentioned.. pee straight after sex. When you have sex, your man pushes all of the bacteria right to the back and the longer you keep it in the higher chance you have to get an infection. So if you pee straight after sex you will hopefully expell any bacteria.
Doctor’s Orders!!!
No, I make sure to go to the bathroom each time afterwards. That is important to do cuz bacteria can get pushed towards the back during sex.
My sister gets them all the time so I was worried about it and for the firts few weeks I followed some of the advice PP’s have given, but I’ve never gotten a single one.
No, but I used to get them all the time with my first serious boyfriend. I think I had like three or four in six months. Probably a combination of being dehydrated, not peeing afterward, and how our body chemistry worked together. Haven’t had one in almost a decade. (God, I’m old.)
I’ve never had a bladder infection or UTI, soooo no, that didn’t happen to me the first time, or ever.
