Haha! We’re totally not mushy couple and i think it would be REALLY weird getting married infront of a lot of people. I would only have 2 friends there if i thought my mom & dad wouldnt take me out of the will!
But we are having a hometown reception! Which will be more like a big christmas party!

We invited about 100 people and have about 65 so far for our October wedding in Cancun. We were surprised we had so many people that replied yes, but are very excited. Aout 20 are my family (huge & Italian:) and our nearest and dearest. We feel very blessed as we know times are tough for many!

Ours is “pseudo”-destination. We’re getting married in Bar Harbor Maine, and most guests are in the Boston area (a 5-hour drive). The rest of our guests will be flying in from a variety of locations both in the U.S. and internationally. We’re actually surprised that we’re getting a really high turnout. Out of 124 guests invited, it looke like we’ll have at least 100 guests, and maybe even a few more. I guess coastal Maine in the summer appeals to pretty much everyone, despite the long drive / flight. The high turnout is definitely stretching our budget a bit, but we feel blessed that so many of our friends and family members are going to be able to make it 🙂

Mine is not a destination for a lot of my family, so we’re still planning on a wedding with about 100 or 130 people. But, for those traveling from the US to Brazil (about 100 of them invited), we’re expecting about 30-40 or so people to come. Hopefully more!
So far about 17 people have booked their flights.

Ours is a destination wedding in Bald Head Island, NC. Most of the familes/friends are coming from the Pittsburgh or DC area. The distance is drivable for a roadtrip or long weekend. We invited about 100 and are expecting about 50 but who knows. I also get paranoid that no one is going to come. We just sent out our invitations on Monday so let’s see.

One thing I’m noticing with my Destination Wedding is that people tend to come in clumps. Like my college roommates. If one comes, then all three will come. But if one or two don’t come, the other won’t either. Same with families. If my aunt and uncle come, then my cousin (their son) and his wife and their kid will come too. Otherwise, none of them will come. It’s like I will have 6 people or none from each cluster.
How to plan for that????

We invited 24 and it looks like we will have 17 not counting us. We are getting married in FL and our family is in PA. Small and intimate, just like we wanted 🙂
