Yes. We have His & Hers versions of the same band.

Sort of. We used the same metal.

Not at all. We each went with our own style.

I’m getting an Edwardian patinum ring, which is engraved and he is getting your standard gold band. He really likes the look of his and I don’t care if we match or not.

I have a floral rose gold band, and originally, we had decided on a titanium ring with rose gold edges to match mine.  Once we got his ring, he wore it for a few days and decided it was too flashy.  So we ended up ordering a cheap brushed tungsten band from amazon.  It was like $13, and he loves it.  I’m just happy he likes it, and wants to wear it 😛

We both actually encouraged the other to get a blingy wedding band, but neither one of us was into that. We both have white gold milgrain bands. We like that they match!

stofkose :  we ordered it from a jeweler in Virginia. It wasn’t custom made or anything like that – he showed us a catalog and we saw a similar one with a yellow gold inset. We just chose the metals for the band and the inset and that’s what we came up with. I love it!

I’m glad you posted this, as I was wondering the same thing myself!  I’m recently engaged, and Fiance and I were discussing this a few days ago.  I’ve always thought it was sweet to match metals at least, but he wanted to have the same designer as well. You can always have the inside of both bands engraved to “match” that way smile

Nope- I went with what I wanted (plain white gold band and an eternity band) and he chose what he wanted (a tungsten with silver center band). They look nothing alike but suit us each really well.

My husband and I didn’t have matching bands when we married, but now we are almost married 10 years and have David Klass making us matching wedding bands. I just really want matching bands with my hubby… I can’t wait to get them!

aclockworklilac :  I wanted him to have what he wants, he’s a fan of rose gold, it goes on well complimenting his skin color. I also like having a little bit of bling for him so, I embedded 3 small round diamonds in his wedding band. I just let him design his own wedding band because he will be wearing his forever. He likes the idea of having 7 diamonds wedding band for me but in white gold. So we went with 0.25ct for 7 round diamonds on my wedding band. They turned out perfect and each have our personalities in them.

I’m stuck in this issue. I want something that will create a “match” with my set and his ring. I have tried a lot of ideas (many generated from helpful bees) but nothing has been it for me. His ring, my e-ring. I’m thinking two platinum thin, twist bands might be it for me. But I’d love for our rings to “coordinate”.

We’re getting coordinating bands. I’m getting a thin twist band in yellow gold, and he’s getting a platinum ring with a yellow gold twist that looks identical to my ring in the center. I was rather pleased with this, as my Fiance surprised me by insisting we match. I don’t like white metals and he doesn’t like yellow, so finding a compromise took quite a bit of searching.

Our bands aren’t technically a set, but we both opted for white gold. If he wanted something different that would have been fine. My parents had different golds (my Mom yellow, my Dad white) and it was fine.

Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE the romanticism of having perfect matching bands, but it was never that important to me.
