Also Australian so yes! I have one pair of UGG’s and a pair of Target ones. They are definitely more of a house shoe in Australia though, you wear them in your house or in your yard but never out (unless it’s really cold and you’re just running an errand or something).
It actually seems really weird thinking about them as a ‘trend’ when in Oz they are considered practical clothing – like workboots or slippers, not a fashion item.

I’ve never owned any, and never seen the attraction. That said, I hardly dress like I’ve just stepped out of the pages of Vogue, so I’m not going to judge anyone who wears them lol.

I have knockoffs, and I still wear them. I have always hated winter boots. They come in two categories (IMO) – Clunky and huge or more stylish and useless for warmth.
I like them because I’m not usually outside for long. Just walking to/from the mailbox, in and out of stores, etc. They’re not the best for actual outdoor activities but just walking to and from dry places, they’re great. Like soled slippers.

I still own my pair from freshman year of high school, when they were already out of fashion. Winter isn’t really that cold here so my feet are always too hot in them. I wore the heck out of them in high school but I wouldn’t buy another pair, they’re just way too expensive and they’ve never felt as comfy as everyone says they are.

UK bee here, I own 3 pairs and wear them over the weekends when I’m casual or to run errands. They aren’t super popular here anymore but a mix of people wear them. Teenagers are actually the least likely to wear them here as they are so fashion conscious and are currently all following the white trainer trend!
I’ve had fake uggs before and they fell apart within a few months, and let in water from day one. My oldest Uggs are 9 years and still going strong, so I disagree with any argument that they aren’t worth the money.

I’m also Aussie, and in my humble opinion uggs shouldn’t leave the house! Only bogan teens wear them in public…

God help me I love my Uggs. They’re hideous, probably really bad for your feet and lord knows at 45 I’m waaaaay to old for them but I don’t give an ever loving shit. I love them, I love them, I love them.
Having said that, I do also have quite a few of the non ugg looking uggs…wedge heel boots and booties, and some very stylish stacked heel leather ones…. Love those too and are probably more stylish/ age appropriate. I’m only slightly embarrassed to say I’ve probably got 15 pairs….😳. First love are still the ugly ones and I don’t care lol.

I only ever wear them in the house. Even when they were in fashion!

I have a brown and black pair and love them 🙂 Though I admit for the price, I only wear them when I’m going somewhere that’s mostly indoors such as the supermarket or mall as opposed to wearing them outside much.

i still wear mine in the winter. but mostly to the gym. like if i’m taking a spin class, i will wear the uggs and bring my cycling shoes. of if i swim, then i will wear the uggs home to keep my feet warm.
i occassionally wear them to run errands or work if my feet were super cold that morning and i feel like being really comfy.

I wear the original proper true blue made in Australian Ugg boots. Not the American rip offs. I wear them in colder weather. Keeps my toes nice and warm.

I live in new england and I still wear uggs. I purchase a new pair every 2 years or so. I wear them in the winter basically everyday to work then change into shoes when I get there. Some days I “forget” and wear them all day lol. My husband thinks they are ugly as well but I won’t give them up for anything!!!

I have 3 pairs of the moccasins that I LOVE. I never wore the boots, I just dont like how they look

I used to be against them in college when everyone was wearing them until one winter night a friend of mine told me to try hers on. I did and ended up wearing them out somewhere and became hooked. Ugly? Yes. But so warm and so comfortable. I still wear them now, but only usually if I’m walking from my car into work or shoveling snow or something. Definitely don’t wear them as a fashion statement now, but I accumulated so many pairs and they’re still functional so here we are lol.

DrCrazyCat : I have 4 different pairs that include the mocasins, I actually love how comfy they are. We dont get much winter in FL, but on a cold day I hurry and put them on lol. The bright side is because I barely wear them they will last me an eternity!
