DrCrazyCat : I wear mine when I need to go down into the basement (laundry) and when I’m walking my dog. They are pretty comfy and warm (I’m always freezing) but definitely not fashionable. I think they can look appropriate with fall and winter outfits so go on ahead and wear them out! I just wouldn’t wear them to work unless I brought a change of shoes for when I get to the office.

I refused to buy them for years while they were “the thing.” Then I hurt my foot a few years ago and was looking for something warm and cuddly to wear to take students out to recess in the winter that didn’t have a heel. Sold for life. I still wear them for everyday errands when its freezing out. I live in upstate ny and no one here will give you a second look for wearing them (regardless of age), unless you are going out somewhere really nice. We have had a few years where it was constantly fewer than 10 degrees F in the winter, and I think people have gotten used to wearing a lot of clothing items even more ridiculous than ugg boots.

Never wore them. Not really something I ever liked.
That said, wear what you like and find comfortable.

Yup, still wear mine! They are warm and comfy, and I honestly don’t ever look “fashionable” so I don’t really care if they’re ugly! I hardly wear anything other than Uggs, moccasins, flip flops, Toms or sneakers. Hate heels, hate traditional flats.. will tolerate some boots for a “special occasion” lol

I have two remaining pairs – the other ones I have absolutely destroyed from wearing, lol! I rarely wear them though – one is the gray knit pair and I really only wear those in the winter. They aren’t even the warmest ones, so I really do just rarely use them. The other pair is one of the camel colored typical pair, and I wear those A LOT in the winter to run errands, or around the house. I’ve definitely overworn them though – I have knock knees so the insides of them are run down because I need a hard sole or else I ruin shoes. Oops. So yes, but not really in public anymore!

Living in New England, you have to pry my uggs, fleece lined leggings and down jacket from my cold dead body. Most of my winter outfits are equipped to handle -10. Necessity>fashion any day!

I had a knock off brand and would definitely get more if I saw some cute ones. Fuck what anyone else thinks!

I have a pair of biker style ones that I saved up for. I love them but they’re leather not suede so are better for wet uk weather. The only downside is the sheepskin pulls my tights down!!

I don’t give a crap what anyone thinks, I still wear UGGs. They’re comfy, warm, and convenient. I wouldn’t wear them to work or somewhere I’m trying to look nice, but kicking around town running errands? Of course!

DrCrazyCat : I’m 31 and wear my UGG boots at our lake cabin inside during the cold months and outside during the summer by the campfire. I don’t/wouldn’t wear them out and about, as a shoe to the store or something. I also have a pair of slippers that I wear inside only, sometimes out to the trash can or something, but I absolutely love my slippers and will definitely replace them when they wear out. Since I don’t wear either pair of mine outside, they last forever. I’ve had my boots almost 10 years and my slippers for 3 years, both with minimal signs of wear.

UK-bee : Thanks so much for those links I’ll def check them out!
echomomm : Your black sequin Uggs sound fab! I can’t believe they made you come into work that day! 🙁
kittykax : danakxox : On the plus side at least living in a warm climate means you can wear gorgeous sandals all the time! I only ever get to wear them on holiday. It’s just too cold/wet here for them
barbie86 : Ha! I honestly could never never understand what the fascination with them was either….until I tried on a pair! Became hooked after that! 😉
cinnapep : littlemisspetite : I was in Australia earlier this year and I wondered if Aussies actually wore them or not, as I never saw anyone out with them on really. I thought maybe they were more of a tourist thing as there’s an Ugg shop right outside the Sydney Operahouse along with all the other tourist shops!
jpbee : Very good point! I agree it was money well spent. No other shoe of mine that I wear as often as my Uggs has lasted as long!
meanttobee2018 : Haha I love this!! I’m 35 and feel the same. No one dare take mine!
Well I’m definitely sold on getting another pair! Glad I’m not the only one still addicted to them!

Wearing them now. They are like slippers and I live in upstate ny where it gets cold as hell. I don’t know how I would live without them. Uggs can be cute if you wear them the right way.

I used to get them every Winter through my high school and university years — I have to admit they are still super adorable & cute when they are brand new ♡
But they are far from durable…
Soggy, salt-stained uggs look terrible and you can’t avoid it unless you clean & brush your uggs all the time. So, now I just wear regular booties!
