I cannot even remember how much money we got. I voted $500 but then realize we got a larger check from his grandparents. So, I think it was more like $900-$1000. and around $60-70 people invited. I cannot remember exact numbers….

Are you asking average amount per person or how much money was gifted over all?

We had a destination wedding but had at-home-receptions with our respective families (our families live across the country from one another).

DH’s family only gave gifts. There were about 45 people at my familie’s party and we got about $4,500 total.

We had 300 people present at the wedding and got about $9k. But $5k of that was a check from my husband’s grandparents. So I would say it was more like $4k from 300 (generous) guests.

When my brother got married, they had somewhere between 300 and 350 guests and they received $27,000.

We have about 200 guests… They were beyond generous… My dad is a pastor, so I wind up knowing many people’s financial status… VERY few of our guests were well off.  We did not anticipate receiving a lot… We received over $4,500… My parents alone gave us $1,000… So that helped boost what we received 🙂  Plus we received almost everything off of our registries between the 2 showers and the wedding… We were so blessed!

Also, putting it into perspective… There were 2 other couples who got married from our church in the same summer… They then had similar guestlists… One received around $1,500 I believe.  And the other one betwen $2,000 and $3,000… So we were BLOWN away!  Obviously this doesn’t measure up to some PP, but (knowing our guestlist), I am still shocked when I think back on it.

We had 90 guests and we recieved around $9k (including gift certificates), plus a lot of gifts. People were ridiculously generous… way more than I ever imagined.

We had 70 guests and got $12,000. That includes a large check from my mom and very generous gifts from my IL’s and our grandmothers.

We had 255 people; we received about $52K (cash and check).  Between my 2 bridal showers, and the wedding, there was nothing left on the registry.
