My inspiration comes from a scene in Disney’s Robin Hood:

I’m not looking to recreate anything, but I want the feeling of everything to be soft, natural, and romantic.  My colors will be blush (soft pinks and peaches, like the fireflies) and a dark slate blue/purple.  Our venue (narrowed it down to 2!) will have tons of outdoor space and gardens.

What inspired me to love bright colours was probably from working at a retail store called Polly Magoo’s.
I have always loved teal. My Fiance is more into earthy colours, so we are going to combine teal and brown. I think I’m going to have a lot of happy complementary colours, so it’s like, whatever goes! Our venue is quite rustic; I am trying to do away with as little decorations as possible. I’d thought about buying a mini-cake (makes four 3-tiered) silicone mold to make edible centre-pieces, but then I remembered desserts are provided as a part of the buffet.

Some of the complementary colours are: lime green, golden yellow, orange, spring pink.

Here are some of the items I have obtained in teal and yellow:

I wanted a very dramtic glam tyoe of wedding, at least the reception part and Fiance love blue and black.  So I decide we would have silver, blue and black.  It actaully is turning out great.  the ceremony is more romantic and soft, we have hints of our colors at the wedding but nothing to the exterme like the reception will be 🙂  My girls are in royal blue long dresses

I first saw the picture of the bridesmaids, the bride and their flowers then formed the rest of my color ideas around that. Below is our color scheme, we wanted to keep it casual and summery.

The difficulty of matching FI’s dress blues. We’re doing navy with accents of all shades of coral, from blush to almost red to almost orange. Fingers crossed it all pulls together well!

I was inspired by the Union Jack, seeing as DH and I met in the TA (army) and have been involved in service of various types for years. However, I also knew that red white and blue, when done badly, can look awful. Therefore, I knew that I had to stick to off white and navy blue as our main colours, as these are more “classic”.

Red was then relegated to an accent colour, and cobalt blue became my other accent colour, because it’s my favourite colour.

If I could have got yellow in there, I would have done, because I love sunflowers and corn, but I couldn’t. It was also too early in the year for them, really. So I stuck with red, white and blue!

The story of our colors is kind of an interesting one. I bounced between purple, orange, blue…just about everything but pink. But when I picked out my dress I found my bridesmaid dresses on the rack and fell in LOVE with the rich sapphire blue. So blue had to be a color. We planned a spring wedding so we needed something to soften it. Then ivory/white came to mind. Well then I felt the urge to add a little punch…YELLOW! Blue, yellow and white are our college colors too so it really worked out! DH even liked the colors!

My colors will be shades of purple. All kinds of purples! Basically I’ve been mildly obsessed with purple since I was a kid.  Even my e-ring is purple. Everyone who knows me knows that I’m the purple girl!

This was my inspiration – it was LOVE at first sight. I couldn’t even put purple, pink and apple green together (my favorite colors) until I found this picture:

I originally love metallics and wanted to give some texture throughout my wedding. However, after choosing our invites, floral color scheme, and realizing we wanted champange (the real deal) everywhere, we decided to opt for an array of colors.. gold, black, dark gray, oxblood burgundy.

Our venue has alot of these colors throughout its premises so i hope it meshes well!
