i agree with the cultural thing, what if she needs to get married before her visa expires which is an emergent situation. what if her boyfriend brought her to this country under the guise of marrying her and now refuses? she definitely needs some type of help and i feel sorry for her.

Some people just really don’t get 911, do they? And it’s naturalized and native citizen alike: do you all remember the woman who called 911 because she locked her keys in her car? Or the woman who was in her car and couldn’t figure out how to open the door? The person who called 911 because their fast food order was wrong? *eyeroll* Apparently first grade education needs to get back on the ball with their emergency hot line instruction!

And don’t forget the woman who called 911 bcause McDonalds had run out of chicken McNuggets!
I don’t really buy the cultural thing in this woman’s case, though. She had been arrested only a week earlier for repeatedly calling 911 because she couldn’t find her car, then had been warned during at least two phone calls this time that calling 911 because your boyfriend won’t propose is not an emergency and not to calla about this again. After she got arrested the first tme I’m sure someone she knew had to have explained to her what 911 is for!
