Congrats and welcome to weddingbee!  I have 8 bms and 8 gms (40 people total). I think you will be fine. There is a wedding timeline on THE KNOT that will help you. I would also start looking into to magazines. Also, this is a great website to go to for help.

What are your FIs reasons for wanting a small bridal party?  If you are only having a small guest list, it might make sense to keep the bridal party small. Also, if you are working on a budget, a small party makes sense to keep gift costs down.

Congrats! Welcome to the bee – I am recently engaged too and I love this site. The Knot is helpful with the timeline and such but the boards on this site are the best as well as the blogs.

Also, don’t worry people are going to ask you for a date until you have one but just say you haven’t decided yet – neither have we! Don’t feel pressure about it. Lakeside wedding sounds beautiful.

The Knot and Weddingwire both have great search tools and you can even modify what kind of a place and the number of guests etc. It is really helpful.

Good luck!
