@chipanddip:  Congrats!  Your ring is beautiful!

We had what I thought was THE PERFECT setting picked out but needed to find the stone.  After a month, we found a stone we love & it arrived Saturday. It came in a “tension band” thing (not a real setting) to hold it in place.  Looking at it on this simple style had me completly rethinking my elaborate split shank halo with lots of interlocking micro pave diamonds.  I’m wondering if the elaborate setting my take away from the beauty of the stone  And looking at all these gorgous solitare’s I’m really thinking twice!

@quick_little_fox:  Thanks and no not at all…it’s a moissanite, not a diamond.  It’s a 1.5 carat equivalent on a size five finger and it’s set in palladium.  The band is pretty tiny…it’s 2.5mm at the top and tapers a little to 2mm at the bottom.

CONGRATULATIONS!! i LOVE solitaires i think they are so classy and timeless! I’m slightly biased though i guess LOL!
