What a sweet pup!

We came home the other day to the ceramic bowl that we keep the dog treats broken all over the floor. He didn’t touch anything else in the kitchen but that. We learned our lesson, no more breakable dog treat bowls!

@artbee: When I was growing up, we had a dalmatian who would steal anything and everything off the counter. We were pretty good about dog proofing after she snagged and ate two loaves of bread – plastic and all – but every so often we would slip.

Cue my father in the kitchen serving out chocolate cake onto the nice china dessert plates for my mother’s birthday. He left the room for a second to get something or other, and returned to find three empty plates. He said he didn’t have the heart to get mad at the dog for stealing the cake because she managed not to break the plates! LOL

@linguo42: In highschool I was making graduation cakes for my then boyfriend. I had baked three chocolate cakes and didn’t have enough counter space to cool all three. We had a big Igloo cooler in the kitchen because it was summer and my mom had been loading it with drinks for a BBQ. Not thinking, I put one of the cakes on the cooler and stepped outside to make a phone call. I came back in a couple of minutes later and the cake was gone.

Our Golden Retriever was laying next to the cooler licking her chops! I looked around for chunks of cake because I figured there was no way she could have eaten the whole thing but found nothing! She devoured the entire cake! I fell on the floor because I was laughing so hard! She didn’t feel so well after that incident… lol

That’s the cutest!!  She thought it was a new fun way to eat!  My puppy decided to finish my turkey sandwich I was eating for lunch this afternoon.  She’s helping with my diet.  πŸ™‚

Our little yellow lab, who is 4 months old, knows the second someone opens the door to where his food is kept, and sprints to make sure he can get his head in the bag before he gets kicked out.  It drives me nuts somtimes, but it is super comical as well, and mom can’t help but laugh.  πŸ˜‰
