Hey Bees –
I just finished my flip flop baskets for the reception. It took me a long time to get all of the flip flops (60), tie them, and arrange them for the baskets. Our colors are purple and grey. For the grey flip flops I put a thicker purple ribbon around the set with a thinner grey on top. The purple flip flops have the grey thicker ribbon with the purple thinner ribbon on top. I was way too lazy to take all 5 baskets down from my high shelves so these are the best pics I can take. Is there something missing? Obviously when we set them up we will arrange them so they look neat and not all scattered.
Here are the baskets overall
And here they are up close:
Sorry for the poor cell phone pics.
what do you ladies think? Anything I can do to make them look better?

Sorry, Im a DIY newbie, what are these baskets for? Are people wearing them, are they favors, or like nifty seating charts?

Very cute! Are the gray ones for men and the purple for women? I would make sure the sizes are noted men or women. 🙂

@Eva Peron: Usually flip flop baskets are meant as favors for people to use at the wedding, so women can take off their uncomfortable heels and wear something flat. But they can also take them home afterward, so they sort of serve as favors as well. And the numbers are sizes, presumably all womens (since men don’t really take off their shoes or need to).
@MlleBrielle: I think they look great! Your guests will be thrilled.

whoops! sorry i didn’t clarify. They are for the women for dancing. I think I’m going to have a notecard that says “Ladies, put on your dancing shoes!”

Looks great! Are you going to put a sign with them to let people know what they’re for?
Here’s a couple I’ve seen on other posts…
“Dance around in your pretty shoes and never miss a beat, but when they ache, just take a break, and wear these on your feet”
“Bought new shoes to match your dress & now your feet are sore?
Please help yourself to a pair of these so you can dance some more!”
“All dressed up with pretty shoes, dancing more and more, Please help yourself to a pair of these, if your feet should get sore”
