I’m just curious as to what people are going to order at our wedding so I figured I’d make a poll about it! (And food polls are fun anyway, aren’t they?) We’re going to have a crab cake appetizer and then the following. We don’t have any vegetarians attending and it’s a small wedding (20-30 people) so we’re aware of any allergies.
Creamy Tomato Bisque with lump crabmeat and fresh basil or
Caesar Salad with Shaved Parmesan Cheese and Croutons
Then the entrees (served with macaroni as an extra side):
Shellfish over Grits – shrimp, scallops, and lobster over white grits with a lobster butter sauce and fried spinach
Buttermilk Fried Chicken Breast – with cracked pepper biscuits, mashed potatoes, collard greens, cream style corn, and sausage herb gravy or
Grilled Twin Filets of Beef – with smashed baby red potatoes, haricots verts, with Madeira and Bearnaise sauces
Just vote on which salad/soup option then which entree option

I voted. I’m pretty loyal to chicken and Caeser salad is one of my favorite foods!

I would get the tomato bisque and chicken, Fiance would eat the caesar salad and beef. 🙂

Shellfish over grits. My southern blood can’t resist!

I’m still so undecided on what I want to get myself and I picked the menu

Oooh, that tomato bisque sounds so good right now. It’s a perfect “soup” day outside–gloomy and rainy with just a little fall chill in the air. So tempting!

I picked caesar and beef!

Shellfish and grits. I had that at a wedding I went to last year and it was delish!!

shellfish and grits because it sounds the most interesting and unusual. and definitely the soup instead of the ceasar.

I don’t like veggies, so I’d probably get a salad and give it to my hubby. But I’m in love with all of your entrees! It would be hart to pick, but I’d probably go for the shellfish over grits.

chicken and caesar… mmmmm 🙂

the chicken sounds delicious

It all sounds yum! Since I’m a veggie, I would get the tomato bisque.
But just a heads up: if you have any vegetarians in your crowd, they won’t be able to eat the Caesar salad, so you might consider having an alternate salad dressing option. Caesar dressing has anchovies in it.

We actually have no vegetarians. It’s only about 20-30 people so we know everyone’s dietary restrictions as far as what they won’t eat as well as any allergies.
