Just for fun: Did you get a push present? What was it?

Nope.  My husband thinks they are ridiculous, which I kinda agree with.  He said if I wanted to get something with our daughters birthstones or whatever I could go buy it though.  So I think I will once I get past baby craziness.

It wasn’t really a push present, but Darling Husband bought me a neclace with DS’s initial on it. It was cheap though, only about $40.

I had never even heard about push presents until Kardashian got one.

I got my daughter, that was enough of a present for me.

No babies yet but I always joke that I want diamond earrings for my push present(s).  One earring per baby..hahaha!  DH thinks it is funny, but also thinks I am not joking.  I highly doubt we would be able to afford/put money towards such an expense when we have kids.

Unbeknownst to me, my Darling Husband had gone out and bought me a Tiffany’s necklace with our baby’s birthstone before I gave birth. Imagine his surprise when I went early and ended up having our baby on the 30th of the month before my due date month. Luckily, he was able to return it and got a different beautiful necklace. All a big surprise to me, since I wasn’t expecting anything!

LilliV :  This is my idea too! My son was born in January, eventually I got a little garnet band in honor of that. (Which I told my husband I wanted, sent him a few links, a few gift giving holidays went by, etc etc.) This pregnancy I’m due May 5th. May is emerald, which I love. If the baby comes early, April’s gemstone is diamonds, which I just don’t see happening, lol.

LLEU :  it definitely works out that I love rubies! I’d be pretty psyched for an emerald May baby too. Since we have to do IVF to make our tiny humans maybe I’ll try to plan the next one for May 😉

I’m just short of being an April baby and I hate the aquamarine for March. My mom was overdue, but the doctor was going to let her go a few more days before inducing except that her insurance was changing on April 1 and I was about to become a very expensive pre-existing condition. There was no way in hell my parents were letting me chill out until April lol.

My baby is 3 weeks old and I asked for a Tiny Tags necklace for Mother’s Day. So not really a push present, but close!

My aunt got me a designer purse for Christmas. We usually keep it under $50.  She said she spent more since I just had my baby.

I never expected a present – I got a baby! Darling Husband had never mentioned it. Then about 2-3 weeks after Dear Daughter was born, I went to put her to bed and found this in her crib. She was born on the super moon and this is a moonstone! I got a matching bracelet for our next anniversary 🙂

bridetobeonjune3 :  this is definitely a side comment but I felt the need to point it out. I’m assuming you didn’t know but the term “jipped” (multiple spellings out there) is very derogatory and insulting to the Romani people. It originates because gypsys were thought to steal or short change others, hence you got “gypped”.  This saying is on par with being just as offensive as any of the other deragotry terms you could think of.

Just a note for you to consider in the future. I’m assuming you wouldn’t knowingly derogatory terms and would like to know.
