As our wedding date approaches, I’m getting more and more excited about being able to wear my wedding band. I love my engagement ring, but my lifestyle and hobbies aren’t very conducive to wearing nice jewelry and I’m constantly taking my engagement ring off for fear of damaging it. I also prefer the look and feel of minimal jewelry on me, espcially when it comes to rings. Before I got engaged, I almost never wore rings of any kind. Long story short, I plan to pretty much wear just my wedding band (plain rose gold band) on a daily basis and save my engagement ring for date nights and special occasions. That said, when I was talking to my friends about it, I started to get the impression that most people my age (late 20s/early 30s) prefer to wear their whole sets.
So what’s your preference and why? ? Full set? Wedding band only? Engagement ring only? No rings?

I wear my full set but only when I leave the house. I don’t wear it all the time.

I mostly wear both of mine however I also love the look of a simple band. I really like going for a simple band when I am pretty dressed up as I like the contrast. There is something romantic about a traditional gold wedding band imo.

I don’t wear any of my rings except for date nights and such. I work in engineering so I don’t work with my hands at all, but I’m not a jewelry person at all so having my rings on are actually quite uncomfortable for me. I thought I’d get used to it, but I never did. It bothers me when it’s loose and occasionally my hands will swell throughout the day and that’ll cause more discomfort. I also don’t like having to think about it while washing my hands after using the restroom and then taking them off to put on hand lotion. Idk. Just overall uncomfortable for me. So no rings for me!

I tend to wear my full set most of the time, however I take my engagement ring off for showering, swimming, exercise, lab days/need to wear gloves at work, and travel.

I wear my full set because my wedding band is custom designed to go with my engagement ring and doesn’t work well on its own. Plus, I love the unique look of my full set!

I have a diamond solitaire + 1/2 pave band as my wedding set. I wear them maybe once a week? If I’m going out for dinner or something I’ll wear it, somtimes to work. Most other days I wear a trinity ring. It’s just easier to wear lol.
If I’m at home I don’t wear anything.

I wear my full set, but the rings are simple! I have a solitarie and a simple YG wedding band (2mm both). I’m 25 since you mentioned age!

I wear my full set pretty much 24/7/365. It almost never comes off. Part of that is that I feel like if I’m always taking them off there is a much higher chance of them getting lost but also I love my rings, I’m very sentimental about them and like what they symbolize. And while I love my wedding band and could wear it on its own, I love my engagement ring even more and I love the way they look together so I always wear them both.

Depends. I’m a 3rd year medical student so on rotations in the clinic I wear my e ring (solitaire) and plain wedding band. If I’m in the hospital I wear my silicone band or wedding band. I typically wear my set all of the time other than that, working out, and cleaning. However, on date nights (which has been rare lately lol) I get fancy and throw on the anniversary band with my set for extra bling!

We just got married about 3 weeks ago and I am wearing the full set daily. I like it and my husband worked hard to get me the ring I wanted so I appreciate and honor his effort by wearing them 🙂
We are TTC so I suspect when pregnant I wont be able to wear them and probably over the years Ill just wear the wedding band sometimes. But for now its new and I like the full fancy set

I wear my full set mostly.. I would say 75% of the time, however… somedays I wear just the Engagement Ring and somedays I wear just the band depending. When I am at home I will go ring free (I work from home). I also never sleep in my rings.

I really only wear mine when I leave the house socially, I don’t wear them to work and I don’t wear them around the house.
When I do wear them, I wear the full set.

I wear both my engagment ring and wedding band on a daily basis. (I don’t refer to them as a bridal set because to me, that implies 2 rings that match and were even designed to nestle together without a gap.) I do take them off to sleep and to shower. (I’m in my mid 40s, since the OP mentioned ages.)
I have a fairly large stone in a vintage inspired halo setting, and my wedding band is an eternity ring, so while my rings are not exactly minimalist and are a bit more delicate, I enjoy wearing them daily.
I don’t wear my rings if I’m working out or something something particularly messy (making meatballs) or where there would be risk of damaging my rings or injuring myself (haven’t actually had this scenario occur yet, but I could forsee some types of home improvement projects being high-risk.)
I’m always surprised by people who only wear their rings when they leave the house and who prefer to not wear them while at home. It’s just different from what I’m used to – I love my rings and love watching them sparkle, I can’t imagine depriving myself of that joy! Saturday mornings tend to be pretty lazy at our house and I love lounging in my bathrobe and drinking coffee and admiring my rings in the early morning light.
Most women I’ve known have worn both rings after the wedding, with a few exceptions like working in healthcare. I have a few nurses in the family who either wear just a plain band or no ring at all to work, then wearing their actual rings when they’re not at work. And I’ve heard of women who stop wearing their engagement ring when the kids are tiny to reduce the likelihood of accidentally scratching the kids, but I don’t think I know anyone personally who has ever done that.

i wear my full set to work and out of the house (unless going to the gym or something like that). i prefer not to wear my rings while cooking, cleaning, gardening, etc. so i tend not to wear them at home. i pretty much treat them like all my other jewelry in that i put it on when i’m getting “dressed up” but then take it off when i get home and change into casual clothes after work.
