I almost always wear my full set when I’m out. But I purposefully got a plain comfort-fit band so that I can leave it on all the time, whereas I do take my ering off for a lot of things around the house. I tend to take my ering off for sleeping, showering, cleaning, doing dishes, and doing certain types of exercise. As long as I’m not doing one of those activities, though, I will definitely wear my ering while lounging around the house because I do enjoy looking at it.
I also often travel with just the band, both to avoid drawing attention to myself in unfamiliar areas and because I’d be worried about losing my ering if I took it off while traveling as much as I typically do at home.

If I’m wearing it, I’m wearing the whole set. But I take them off to shower, workout, swim, boating, etc. When I am doing those things I just have on a simple rose gold silicone band.

I chose to have only a band for this exact reason. No fuss and doesn’t catch on anything.

I work from home and only put on any rings if I’m leaving the house. Usually I’ll wear the full set, but if I’m just running a quick errand or doing any sort of exercise, I’ll just wear my wedding band. I also have a couple of silicone rings if the situation calls for it.

I wear my full set all the time. (Have already had to replace stones twice.) The only time I ever take it off is if I’m hand mixing meat for dinner, but even then I’ve been known to leave it on and just be careful and wash well afterwards. If I didn’t wear it all the time, it would undoubtedly get lost, as well as I can’t stomach spending that much on something and never wearing it.
ETA: My set consists of the e-ring and a wrap and I recently got them soldered. So, that also plays a part. It’s all or nothing for me – no option to wear just a band.

thepuzzledpeach : I love my set, and engagement rings and even wedding bands are so expensive that I would feel bad if my husband had bought it and I rarely or never wore it. But I do know two couples, in their early 20s (so younger than me), where the wife wears a simple band and not the set. One of them actually wears something different from her original wedding band (it’s even simpler).

I only wear my wedding band BC I don’t want my engagement ring to scratch the baby. But I LOVE the look of full bridal sets worn daily.

I’m only recently married but I’ve worn the whole set on my right hand finger for the entire engagement, and now on my left hand finger I do wear both. That being said, my set is quite simple and it doesn’t bother me.

marlamallow : What brand of silicone bands do you have? Do you like them and do they hold up fairly well? My fiance wants a silicone band because his job frequently requires him to work with his hands. He also has a tissue disorder in his hands that cause his knuckles on his fingers to be quite large, making it hard to size a traditional ring. I’ve been eyeing Enso, but trying to decide if they are worth the price or if we should just order cheapies off of amazon.

misslucy :
“Saturday mornings tend to be pretty lazy at our house and I love lounging in my bathrobe and drinking coffee and admiring my rings in the early morning light.”
This made me laugh because I definitely do the same thing. I usually take my ring off as soon as I get in the house, but I definitely put it on during breakfast on the weekends because the light tends to be perfect at that time for watching the diamond sparkle!

I wear my wedding ring (simple gold band) 24/7. Occasionally wear my ‘engagement ring’ (although it techncially wasn’t) when I leave the house… probably 50% of the time.

I always wear my full set only because it was designed together and they are soldered together so there is no choice in wearing one or the other.

thepuzzledpeach : I would recommend Qalo rings over Enso. I didn’t care for Enso for the price compared to Qalo. DH and I both have multiple silicone rings, him because he works a labor job and that’s his main ring. Me, I just have variety if I feel like switching it up.
Per your main question, my band and engagement ring are a set and are soldered together, so I have to wear them both all the time, which I do. I love wearing it, but honestly I do take it off when I get home just because I’m not the most jewlery concious and would probably damage it, lol.
