I have a round so I would probably say it’s my favorite because they are timeless and have the most sparkle. Asschers and emerald cuts though are probably my second and third favorites, respectively!

teacherbee2017 : Emerald cut followed by anything elongated!

I love all elongated stones but would have to say a nice large elongated cushion

teacherbee2017 : Okay, I am probably the oddball here, but I love LOVE unconventional shapes. I love kite settings, I love rhombus cut stones, I love a larger trillion as a main stone, I love tapered and non-tapered baguettes as main stones, I love quirky undexpected combos of stones shapes in one ring. I truly adore rose cut stones, but like many specialty cuts they just don’t have enough sparkle for me (which makes me sad, because they are gorgeous)
Currently I am crushing on hexagon shapes (I guess, sort of an ascher??) If I had to do it all over again with my engagement ring, I think I would have tried to be much braver and a little wilder with my ring. Here are some gorgeous hexagon stones to drool over 🙂

Asscher, has been since I saw one in a magazine as a teenager. I love step cuts because of the depth.

Shesaidyes : ok seriously that is a gorgeous stone!!! I have never seen anything like that and I love it!!! Especially set in that eternity band!!! I also loooove trillion cuts. They have to be my favorite odd ball shaped stone!

If we’re talking the traditional shapes, I’m a huge fan of the pear shape if it has a wide bottom. I think they’re kind of underrated. It combines the classic circle cut with the pointedness of the marquis cut. So it’s kind of vintage but still unconventional. They have great sparkle. It also makes my fingers look slimmer.
Much like Shesaidyes : said though I’m a fan of out there shapes. Generally I’m not a fan of anything asscher/emerald cut (but to those who do, keep rocking them!) but I can get on board with those hexies.

I voted asscher. I have an old cut cushion erign and a heart right hand ring right now and would love asscher studs to complete my collection!! teacherbee2017 :

redearthlady : missmonroe711 : I agree with you both!!! Something about elongated stones are just magical. They make short fingers look long and fill up space on long fingers. Ovals are my favorite but elongated cushions are so stunning.
