Have a flatscreen TV. I never had a TV in college (in my circle it was “uncool” and we had one to watch movies on, but we kept it in the closet). The only reason we have one at all now is because someone gave us an old one from the 90s. I may never have a flatscreen unless I win one or something!
Anyone else have something in their life they feel like they are the last one without?
Oh, and DH still doesn’t have a cell phone.
Just curious, I thought it might be fun!

This is silly– but I feel like I am the last person on earth (well that’s a stretch – but definitely the last person out of any of my friends), to own a pair of UGGs. I could never bring myself to spend that much on a pair of winter boots! However, If I got them as a gift I wouldn’t turn them down 😉

Blueshoes2! I feel the same way about knee-high winter boots- or even mid calf-high :/ I would love get some as a gift!

Get a smartphone! I still have an old-school flip phone. It sends text messages and makes calls. Those are its only functions.

@cbee: I don’t own a tv either if it makes you feel any better.

@octopus: Same. I’m perfectly content with my limited fuction phone. I’d be happier if it didn’t give off static noises every so often but I think that’s because of the abuse it’s gone through.

I don’t have a digital camera and never have. I know it’s silly because they’re so much more affordable now, but I always seem to have stuff come up and can’t save for one.

…own a smart phone (blackberry, iphone, etc.). I want a phone that can just call and text people. That’s it. I don’t need the extra stuff.
I understand some people have to be connected all the time because of their work but I try to keep work/leisure time separate. I work hard 5 days per week. I don’t see the point of checking work stuff/constantly checking email/facebook/etc. when I’m with family.

@piglet_625 I don’t have a digital camera either! 🙂 I am actually a fine art photographer, and still shoot and process and print my own B+W film in the darkroom.
My cell phone was a gift and it can go online but I don’t want to pay for that function.

@Blueshoes2: ita…expecially where i am from, i don’t have a pair…and would never buy them either. oh and also those nike shorts…lol i feel like i am the last person on earth to not have a pair 🙂

@Blueshoes2: I have never owned a pair of UGGS! Or Crocs for that matter!

a laptop! i can’t justify buying one either, lol, there is nothing WRONG with my desktop=) but i feel trapped because on my desktop i’m stuck all by myself in the office, & i’d rather be able to sit on the couch next to fh while he watches tv or whatever. i know it’s silly! everyone i know has one though. i think it’s because most of them were required to get one for college (my school didn’t), and they still have it, or they have one for work now.
& i don’t have Uggs either, but i too would happily accept them as a gift;)
@cbee: we do have a LCD tv in the LR, but the tv our BR is from the early 90s=D it can’t even work without the cable box! but we figure, it still works, we’ll replace it if it dies. it was one my parents were getting rid of & it was bigger than the one we had there before.

@MrsE.ToBe Darling Husband does Graphic Design and he actually prefers a desktop MAC. (It has a large screen and that way he has it in his office where he works) So, you aren’t the only one! 🙂

Catch up with technology. I held on to my casette tapes until the 21st century, still don’t know what blue-ray is, I bought an iPhone on my friend’s urging but takes me half an hour to type one sentence, and because I can’t figure out the blue tooth thing I just yell into the speaker phone while driving. People give me weird looks when I admit this at work because I do a lot of database programming as part of my job. I have to explain to them just because I can write complex code on a computer doesn’t mean I can operate basic gadgets.

meliss, Me too!
Dh and I aren’t on FB either. He never has been. I think that’s rare!
