We celebrate her adoption day! She did not love her hat lol but we do make her a special dinner (chicken and rice is her favorite)

blushingbee2019 :  I take my pup out for a day at the park and stop by a local dog bakery so he can sniff it all up and pick out a treat. I spoil him pretty much year round in terms of table food though….

Yeah our dog is also spoiled every single day of the year haha but on his birthday he gets a new toy and special treat, like I’ve baked dog biscuits!

My dog doesn’t like many things haha but I do take him on a long hike and get him a raw hide treat!  He will be 10 next month and part of me wants to buy new dog beds and a new collar and just spoil him all month!

New toy and a little extra love for our babies. They are all rescues though so we don’t know their real birthdays.

Hat-trick the Tri-pod, we call him Hattie. We are guessing at  March 9, 2019. He is our newest special addition.

20190228_195718Yay – my boy turns one next month – I want ideas of things to do for his first birthday!

I’m thinking – he gets a raw mini marrow bone/roo tail a few times a week. I’m thinking for his first birthday we go out and get home one of those massive marrow bones and watch his mind just explode!

Does anyone have a good recipe for a dog-safe birthday cake? I want to make an Insta event of it @platomymato (The name is awesome I know)

So sweet! 😍 For our pups 2nd birthday (first with us) I got him to wear a hat and bandana, and gave him lots of extra treats and snuggles. If my wife and I didn’t both have to work that day we would’ve taken him to a dog park that he loves, but he got to go to doggy daycare instead and had tons of fun!

She is! Lab/pit. Though all her paperwork says she’s a lab/setter which is very helpful since we rent and we can get her approved. I hate breed bans, she is the sweetest dog ever – pretty much everyone who meets her says so! blushingbee2019 :

    blushingbee2019 :  So cute!

We have 3 cats. On their birthdays, Christmas and valentines day (ha ha losers I know!) we get them a special “party tea (dinner)”. i.e some posh wet food when they normally have dry.

Today is one of their birthdays. Noah is 8 🙂

I gave him a kiss and said happy birthday this morning and will go and buy them some nice dinner for tonight.

blushingbee2019 :  Oh yes. They both get a new toy (on each others’ birthdays) and a cake. They get to lick the frosting off of the beaters, too. They may get a little something extra in their food, but nothing that will send them into tummy trouble. They often get to visit the hunting park to swim, and we invite other dogs we know to join us; someone always brings a cake or cupcake, depending on whose bday it is. They get a birthday post on facebook. I am part of a large AKC breed community, so other owners who have puppies from the same litter post their pups’ bday pics, and I get tagged by them and by the breeders, who always post something sweet about the litters’ bdays, too.

I don’t really celebrate my kitties birthdays, but I do give them new toys and treats for Christmas! I usually just post a picture of them on my instagram and I give them a kiss on the head. They run away because you know, life is so terrible being a cat. They sleep all day long on top of a pillow on my temperpedic bed. So of course I say to them, your life isn’t that bad, you get hugs and kisses and get to sleep all day!!
