It would be radiant for me, not that I hate them, but they are often “crushed ice” which is not my preference and I haven’t seen one with a cut I like. What makes it worse is I love emerald cuts, so when I first clock a radiant I get all excited about seeing an emerald cut before a proper look disabuses me.
I like a fat marquise and love a fat juicy pear, – especially with side baguettes a la Graff or Harry Winston.
I wouldn’t swap my round, but if forced it would be for an emerald cut.

I can’t think of a cut I’d say no to. I’m not crazy about cushion cuts, but I don’t hate theme or anything.
I love OEC, hearts, emerald and radiants the most!

I have a marquise and I love it. LOL! It’s also a cubic zirconia, gifted by my husband after I had our first child. (I did pick it out). Obviously, different people like/love different things.

ktsteimel : this. Having worked in jewelry, I never liked marquise, as they almost always have the bow tie effect. Setting is always important though.
Also, never liked emerald cut, always looks like a fancy piece of glass to me.
Further, this is just my two cents, I don’t want to put down anyone’s ring. All that matters is that you love it, you’re the one who has to wear it.

Heart & Princess all the time and Marquis depending on the ring/size.

I’m surprised that many people said they didn’t like asschers! Of course, I’m biased as I love love love my asscher with tapered baguettes. I just find the shape to be so unique with a touch of vintage to it. I get a ton of compliments on the shape since it’s a little less common.
You can’t deny the beauty of a classic round diamond though. Or really any of these shapes for that matter!

Wow, so interesting to see the poll results of marquise being the least favourite!! Haha being an owner of a marquise (which I picked – but soon to be pear as an upgrade) I found that really interesting! Definitely each to their own, right!? I voted princess because I’m not a big fan of harsh edges/square things generally lol. And it kind of screams 80’s to me for some reason lol. Not sure why, given that other bees have said that marquise and pears scream 80’s to them haha.

Marquise and radiant cuts are awful to me.
