Not a traditional wedding dress but mine is a prom dress. I can’t believe girls wear things like this to the prom now. Sure has changed a lot since I went. Also funny because on the website the dress looks very different as it doesn’t even touch the floor since the model is a foot taller.

tigress :  I think I have said this before – but it bares repeating… I just LOVE your dress choice!!  Do you mind sharing where you found it?

My cousin choose a bridesmaid dress as her wedding gown, it was an ivory gown.  Simple and elegant and she was very beautiful!  I don’t recommend expensive wedding gowns.

BEEelegant :  Thank you. It and the venue are my favorite things for the whole wedding. I got it off the rack at a small local non chain prom store but the designer is Mori Lee style 99001 I believe. She has a lot of variations with this print on other fabrics and styles. I had previously tried another dress on and loved the print but it was a mermaid cut in satin that didn’t work on me and the assistant said she thought she had something and pulled this from a backroom, same designer and print but in organza and A line.

tigress :  If you have a chance – post a pic of the back.  Is there elastic or just a fitted zipper?  So refreshig to see pastels and florals back in the stores.  I was getting really tired of black, taupe and white!

anatheanalyst :  Are girls really in such a hurry to grow up now that they want to wear these dresses to their prom? Personally I find it sad seeing all these ‘mini brides’.

BEEelegant :  It just has a zipper up the back and the bodice already had boning and cups built in to the structure. I don’t have any good pic on me but here’s from the site in the black variation. I’m probably like a foot shorter than the model though so on me there is a much more significant train effect.
