ROFL! @ the pile of dog hair on the table. The mental picture that gave me was hilarious
Blusher veils….I think that’s what the ones that cover your face are called. Umm…we can see you through them…and in most cases the groom has already seen a lot more than your face…LOL. Just strikes me as weird.

That’s awesome that it worked out! I’d probably have stuff like that if my budget allowed, but I have to get a guaranteed return on my investment! lol
a burn barrell?? That scares me.

A lot of photos that are taken now are used in ways that photos were not used before, because digital photo albums allow you to display the photos differently. I have a lot of photos that were taken, that by themselves look really weird, like with things totally off center or things missing, but my photog took them in order to use them as a backdrop for a few photos in our digital album!
I just don’t want anyone to tell a photog to omit shots like the shoes or just bouquet, and then later wish they had it for a backdrop!

Weeellll, it could be that he hasn’t seen that much…okay, scratch what I was about to reference but it was a thread with lots of controversy a couple of days ago 🙂

We both have pictures by ourselves beforehand. We had 2 photographers so of course there are going to be pictures of us by ourselves. I guess you could call mine bridal portraits but then he would have some groom portraits too!

Veils in general. I don’t understand why brides like them. I think they are hideous and reek of arranged marriage.
God it felt good to say that. Lol!

Fwiw, I’m 41, and if I didn’t get married on a beach with it being about 100 degrees outside, I would have worn whatever dress I wanted to. Short or long. It’s the bride’s choice and whatever looks wonderful on her!
Age doesn’t matter to me, and I would’ve thrown my bouquet but it was made of seashells and would’ve given my single female guests head trauma!~
I only don’t get a few things…one (because I have allergies) thing being hay bales used as pews. I’d have sneezed my head off and swelled up. And two, the pics of the GUYS and their crazy socks in photos. Why? A shoe is so delicate and fancy, but crazy wild colored socks worn by the groomsmen or groom and pictures being taken of them? Now that I don’t get.

This is funny because my groom didnt wear CRAZY socks but just gray and green argyle socks because it matched with our colors. There arent any sock pictures, but there is one pictures of us sitting on a ledge where his socks peek through and its the only time you can see his socks – I think its perfect!

I hear ya on the candy buffets, but only when its in addition
to the cake. I think it can be a fabulous, cost effective way of offering guests a fun, DIY dessert alternative, but when there’s the candy buffet, AND favors, AND cake it just gets to be too much. Not to get down on anyone doing the candy buffet…they look awesome!

I agree on the angry faced pictures. This is suppose to be one of the happiest days of your life and I don’t know why people want to look so miserable.
PS: I love shoe pictures and argle sock pictures 🙂

Yeah, see, some people like things some people don’t In the end you’ll be happy with your own wedding and that is what matters!
This is all in good fun. 🙂

I love shoe pics though!
And although I love the pic of me wearing my decorated flip flops at the beach wedding, I still wonder if somebody saw that pic and it wasn’t in my wedding album, they’d wonder whose feet were those??? lol!
Fwiw, I think “detail” pics are in style right now. And I’m glad! there are tiny touches from our wedding and reception that I wouldn’t prob remember had the photographer not taken those pictures.
