Literally almost everything I eat seems to give people issues, not for weird combinations but because I have a serious texture problem with food. A lot of textures make me gag and if I accidentally eat something that falls in this catagory I am unable to stop thinking about the feeling of it in my mouth for hours. Likely, I am insane.

I order Pad Thai with only noodles, no vegetables or eggs or anything else. Just noodles coated in sauce.

Pasta can only be in olive oil or tomato sauce with no chunks or onions. If there are chunks or onions I have to pick them out individually before I can eat it.

At Taco Bell I eat a tortilla with a side of red sauce. (this one really infuriates people)

Pickles in salsa.

Sardines with hot sauce and mustard. -> I know this isn’t a “weird combination,” but sardines in general make people side-eye me.

Flamin’ Hot Cheetos with lemon juice or lime juice.

MsBeer :  Soy sauce is my secret salt!  I often use soy sauce instead when a recipe calls for salt.  At first it was out of necessity and laziness.  I forgot to buy salt for over a month.  Now I use it quite often! Its amazing on eggs!

Lokie85 :  So glad I am not the only one but my entire family think I am mad. I also put it on boiled rice when I have chili. They always joke.

slomotion : I soooo feel you on texture. The feeling of biting into a chunk on onion is enough to make me gag. i strongly dislike mixing foods for this reason!

Once I was eating yogurt, and some girl kept going on and on saying it was spoiled milk, and I couldnt get her to shut up.

She almost got yogurt dumped over her head.

cocog :  Same! People just think I’m being picky for fun. I WISH I could eat like everyone else does.

Im a bit of strange eater. Not so much combo’s but more with just how I eat. I get pretty weird looks when I eat pizza I pick all the toppings (including the cheese!), eat that, and then eat just the crust and sauce.

I really dislike mixing foods, mostly because of texture.

I work with a girl who loves ketchup. We all bug her about it cause she consumes a crazy amount of it and eats it on everything. I think the first time we noticed was when we saw her dousing leftover fettucine alfredo in ketchup

I made a fried egg and peanut butter on toast for breakfast the other week. I then proceeded to put the fried egg on the peanut butter toast and it was actually really good. Fiance went and told our best friends about it and I still get made fun of.

Mango sticky rice. I mean, it’s a real Thai dessert, but people think it’s weird. So yum!

Whipped cream with pickles…

I also like drinking soy sauce, but only low sodium Kikkoman. I can’t stand any other soy sauce!!
