Bad Religion – any of their pre-1999 albums. It was the first music I ever *really* got into (I think Stranger Than Fiction was the first one I bought) and it definitely influenced my musical taste for years afterwards.

NOFX – Punk in Drublic. I didn’t love this album *that* much, but I listened to it a lot and I always remember my youngest brother (ten years my junior) as a 4-year old singing, “Don’t call me [Spaniel], don’t caaaaall me [Spaniel]” and then cracking up at his little kid humor. It’s one of the cutest memories I have of him. πŸ˜‰

Face to Face – I don’t remember the name of the album (maybe it *was* Disconnected?) but I remember seeing Disconnected on Guitar Hero or Rock Band (I forget which! I’m getting old!) and it took me RIGHT back to 8th grade. πŸ™‚

I have to say, my tastes have changed… A LOT. I can still enjoy the stuff I listed here to some degree (once in awhile, while I’m feeling nostalgic), but a lot of the other stuff I listened to? Subhumans, the Exploited…? Oh my god; even THINKING of it gives me a headache.

Oh ya, Smashing Pumpkins..never liked them, well like one song. This guy would always tease me at work cause he heard music blasting really loud out of my car as I pulled in to work. He kept teasing me saying it was the Smashing Watermelons..but it wasn’t Smashing Pumps..I kept telling him..but it always made me laugh when he’d say..how are those Smashing Watermelons?
