Mine is royal blue, but never made it out of the box, because I was living in a too small apartment and I keep telling my mom to take it. Darling Husband has one and his is bright red.

I have a silvery Kitchenaid Professional 600 mixer, it has a bit of texture to the color.  I like it, bought it myself when I moved out from home because I love baking.  (I lived with my parents for a while saving up for my apartment.)

Do you love it?  Yeah!  The Pro chews through Brioche like a champ.

Do you regret going neutral or bright?  Nope, as a renter it’s light/dark enough to mix everwhere.  Doesn’t compete with all the red accessories I bought either (red towels, red measuring cups, red potholders…)

Does it have a name? Nope.  Hopefully Old Reliable someday!

What’s your favorite thing to make in it?  Brioche!  Such a lovely, tasty dough.  Takes forever, though!  Brownies is a close second, I like letting the mixer “chop” up the nuts for me.

I actually plan to put flame stripes on it someday, like Alton Brown’s mixer from Good Eats.

Mine is cobalt blue. I absolutely love it. In our small apartment, it stays tucked in a cupboard. I have never thought about naming in and suddenly I want to!

Red, we used to have a black and white tiled kitchen and we had retro kitchy theme.  Now we have a modern looking kitchen with dark granite and cherrywood cabinets.  I REGRET not going neutral.  I really wish we had black or cream!

Mine’s just boring old white, but it’s my baby and I love it. I grew up baking with my grandma’s Kitchenaid, and when Darling Husband and I got our first place we realized that we really couldn’t justify the cost of buying our own.

Those were dark times. Cookies were scarce. Darling Husband felt himself fading away… so he braved the Boxing Day crowds after our first Christmas living together, and snagged a mixer for half price.

I’m boring and got one to match my kitchen decor. I call her Bessie. Because why not?

cmsgirl :  yes it is! It’s their one with all the cake and elaborate dessert recipes, most of which are beyond my skills, but it does include a bunch of gelato recipes as part of them.

Mine is in “bordeaux”, and it’s a shimmery burgundy/berry/wine colour. I love it! It’s a pop of colour in my otherwise all white/grey/wood/black house lol. I looooove the pastel coloured ones, but decided to go with a jewel tone because I knew I wouldn’t get sick of it. The shimmery ones change in different lighting, so it’s blended in well in our different kitchens over the years.

Mine is black. I didn’t get to pick the color (I would have picked the sky/turquoise blue!) as it was a gift from my fiancé our first Christmas together. I was so shocked, we had only been dating a few months at that point, and I hadn’t told him how much I had always wanted one, but he knew how much I loved baking cookies and treats. Over time the Black has really grown on me, it’s a great neutra so it’s fine to stay on the countertop, and it will match pretty much any kitchen we ever have.

Mine is white, chipped a little bent and beloved. I’d love a new fancy one colored but the fact is this 15 year old one is still working great.

Tangerine. Perfect with my dated, unfashionable backsplash tile.
