I only had very short notice so I had to throw something together. He proposed in January and it was chilly, so I wore dark skinny jeans, wedge boots, a long sleeved blouse, and a scarf/pea coat. The pictures turned out pretty well. I only wish I had more time to do my hair beforehand, but we look really happy in the pictures so that’s all that matters 🙂

He proposed on a rooftop in NYC in December so it was freezing.  I wore leggings with a pretty top.  I have a black long coat that was fitted in the waist and i wore a red plaid scarf!

We were going for a hike in the mountains, and I saw him putting on his nice jeans and sweater- too nice for what he would usually wear for this activity. I suspected the proposal was coming so I wanted to be practical for hiking but still kinda cute- I picked a soft lightweight sweater, leggings and sneakers. Then I asked him to take a picture of me before we headed out so I could see that my outfit looked ok (the place we were staying had no mirrors, lol). I’m afraid my pictures would be of no inspiration to you haha, not my finest outfit but it was just right!

Nothing. I mean really nothing as we were in bed at the time. And, no, no photos lol.

A geeky t-shirt and jeans I think, same as him. Which makes sense because those t-shirts were part of the proposal.

introester :  I wore a red/white floral dress, suspected it might happen that day but didn’t really know.

introester :  We were on vacation and leading up to the trip, my friends had put the idea in my head that he might propose. But once we got to the resort, the thought went out of my head because everything was beautiful and we were having so much fun. He proposed on the second night of our trip on the beach after dinner. I would have worn my hair differently (I put it up in a bun because it rained earlier so it was a frizzy mess) and worn a different dress had I known, but it doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. We took professional photos before we left 🙂

Same dress, different trip:

It was a surprise, so I was in an Animal Kingdom Harambe’s Reserve tank top. In hindsight, he had asked me about it before we left for a walk.

After he proposed, he had planned a night out in a nearby city. I wore a dress he had helped me pick out for a wedding years ago. It’s a gorgeous hunter green lace with a cage back. I was the most dressed up person but thought who cares? I’m only getting engaged once.

I had a feeling my husband was going to propose the day he did, but I didn’t want to let on that I knew because I knew he was trying really hard to surprise me. I was going to his house that evening, so I had to walk the line of wanting to look nice but not being too overly dressed for what was supposed to be just a relaxing night in. I ended up wearing a blue blouse and dark wash jeans. I did make sure to paint my nails though. He had dressed up in a button up, slacks, and a tie. The only pic we took was from the waist up though, so you can’t really tell that I wasn’t as dressed up as he was.
