Well, this is a bit of a story.  Due to my request, he is waiting to pop the question with the ring we have designed together until I accomplished my goal of winning our local festival pageant.  It has been my dream since I was a little girl.  With this pageant, you reign and travel around local areas for one year before you crown the next queen the following year.  Unfortunately,  you can’t be engaged any time during your reign or you for fit your title to your runner up.  I hope that when I am decrowned, and c owning the other winner, he pops the question immidiently, as that is the moment we can become engaged. With the directors permission, of course.  It is also crowning day for the new queen, after all.

I have always dreamed of a public proposal, and I am a very theatrical person. This being said, I would hope that he plans something where that years contestants hold up a sign, him showing up with flowers, and our song would start playing. Maybe even a slide show of our life together!  This is relevant because girls in the past have created a slide show of their year, so if he edits mine, that would just bring me to tears of happiness. It would all very very romantic.  He knows how much this pageant means to me, because it is my childhood dream.  Oh, and this would also ensure my family and friends to be there.  Not to mention that it guarantees perfect nails!

I am a theatrical person, and he is well aware.  The proposal doesn’t compare to my SO no matter how amazing it is, because he is even more amazing.  This is just my fantasy proposal.

Mine is going to sound like a 10 year old thought of it but it would still be a dream! (Mentioned it to SO a few times!)

So it would involve me getting ready so i dont feel a mess say he told me we were going to a meal or something.

Then maybe at the car he’d hand me a surprise puppy and then get down on one knee and propose, it would just be a burst of happiness!

Then id announce it with a photo of me holding a surprise puppy and leaving the ring to see if people noticed

I didn’t get my dream proposal, but that’s totally ok.

My dream proposal was to get engaged on St. Patricks Day. We’d be at our favourite bar and he’d get the whole bar’s attention and ask me. Then in front of our friends and fellow regulars I’d say yes. That way we’d get “lucky me” engraved in our rings…and if things went south later on I could claim I only accepted because I was drunk :-p

But it didn’t happen. Thats ok though, I was just happy to be asked!

maddybee:  I always loved puppy and kitty proposals!  I told my SO I couldn’t handle that, though.  I’m too type A and I would want to help pick out our fuzz ball.๐Ÿ˜Š  I think it is an adoreable proposal!

thessely:  We got engaged at home, on his birthday. We had taken the day off and apparently he was planning to do it later in the day but he got nervous and did it first thing in the morning. He put each of our three dogs in different rooms with notes on them, it was really sweet and private ๐Ÿ™‚

But before that, I had envisioned him doing it at the zoo. Like in front of the tigers, like how Rocky proposed to Adrian in Rocky II ๐Ÿ™‚ Rocky says “I was wonderding if you wouldn’t mind marrying me too much?” and Fiance sometimes likes to say that to me now, in a Stallone voice ๐Ÿ™‚

I am going to be cheesy and say I would love it if he told me to dress up fancy, “wine and dine” me at a restaurant I’ve always wanted to go to, surprise me with a horse-drawn carriage ride….and during the ride, surprise me with a proposal!

But honestly, the only thing I want for him his to do his best and be genuine about it! That would make me happy!
