I want to say my first ever CD was the first Backstreet Boys album, but I was buying cassettes for a while before this, couldn’t tell you what the first one was though.  I was all about recording my favorite songs off the radio onto old books on tape. ๐Ÿ™‚

Going against popular culture and my first CD(s) were (as birthday presents):

Vangelis

Joe Diffie

Patsy Cline

Yes, I had differing tastes in tunes than most. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mine too, Hanson – Middle of Nowhere. In fact my copy still lives in my car, and I’ve just booked tickets to go and see them in December! Gotta Love the 90’s pop, really lookin forward to bsb tour too. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m not sure which was first, but it was either a Whitney record- I think it was the one with I wanna dance with somebody or We Are The World.  I do know We Are The World was the first record I ever bought myself.  50 whole cents!!!

3 Doors Down was my first CD. My first cassette was an Elvis mix. Also a Dolly Parton mix.

I don’t remember…but it was one of the ones already mentioned. It could have been Spice Girls, Hanson, No Doubt or one of those dance party complilations. I was around 11.

My first cassette was Will Smith – “Big Willie Style.”

My first CD was Celine Dion – I think it was “Falling Into You.”

My first was Savage Garden! Bought it with my allowance after seeing them perform on a kids award show.

I only had 4 real CD’s as I wasn’t much for cd’s I jus tused to listen to the radio or my mom’s stuff.

Alanis Morrissette’s “jagged little pill”

Smashing Pumpkins “mellon collie and the infinite sadness”

Live “throwing copper”

No Doubt “tragic kingdom”

and at some point in the mix my uncle bought me a Stone Temple Pilots CD. I don’t remember the album name but I know the one song I liked on it was “trippin on a hole in a paper heart”

I don’t remember which cd came first but these are the ones I owned myself. I listened to plenty before these but these are the ones I know I bought with my own money.
