My first CD was Michael Jackson’s Dangerous.  However, first record was something by Billy Joel that I took from my dad  haha.   and first cassette that I can remember was Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet

Hanson and Garth Brooks! I can’t remember which I opened first but they were both christmas presents when I was like, 8? 9 maybe. Idr.

ETA: Ah! I saw PPs talking about their first cassettes and I wish I could remember mine! I know my mom had the movie Bodyguard’s soundtrack on cassette and I would steal it but I can’t remember my own!

@AnneTossy:  AHHH! This was the first CD my sister and I bought. To this day, I still have every word to every song memorized. And I still listen to it regularly on my iPod (totally not ashamed). I wanted to marry Danile Jones (the blond(ish) one).

@SoonToBeMrsD921:  This was one of the first CD’s I ever had. My sister and I got a super-cool boom box with CD player and DUAL cassette deck for Christmas one year, and our uncles bought us 3 CDs to listen to, including Ace of Base (The Sign), 2Unlimited, and The Real McCoy. We thought we were SOOO cool.

My first CD was Toni Braxton’s self titled album… Which supposedly came out in ’93 when I was 8 years old, but I got it second-hand from a friend for free, and I think it was a year or two after that that it came to be in my possession. My favourite cassettes, some of which I still have, were Green Day – Dookie, I Mother Earth – Scenery & Fish, and Offspring – Smash!

Mine was the Gone In 60 Second soundtrack.  I didn’t get a CD player until the summer I was leaving for college.

LOVE this post-and it really shows all of our ages too.  Mine was “Let’s Talk About Love” by Celine Dion, 3rd grade.

I used to sit with my CD’s at my computer at home and pretend that I was hosting a radio show! (My dad was a DJ)

Mine was Achtung Baby by U2, bought for me by my brother for Xmas. Funnily enough, I asked for it because I thought I was getting a CD player for Xmas, but I didn’t end up getting the CD player, so for ages I had this CD I badly wanted, but nothing to listen to it on. Frown

My first album altogether was an early 80s one by Paul McCartney, on cassette, when I was about 7.
